Myself & my family have enjoy this restaurant several times. My work has also held Christmas parties here, but last night we held my aunts 60th birthday party here. We called 2 weeks in advance to book a room & they accommodated. Party was at 6, we ordered at 7. At 8:30 our waitress (bless her heart no fault to her) was coming to tell us they were out of many of the sides we ordered, the salmon we had ordered & some steaks. Once we did start receiving our food it was cold. The rice felt like it was scooped right out of the refrigerator. The fires, fish, even the one piece of salmon they did have felt as though they had just sitting. We told them how cold the food was was so they chose to microwave the fried fish which in return made it rubbery. No one wants rubbery fish. If they didn’t have the side you ordered they chose to put whatever side they wanted on your plate without asking. Although several plates came with no sides. Needless to say no one ate their food because it was cold and not what they ordered. When we asked to speak with management we were told they should have never booked our party, they were just too busy and they over booked. That was actually from the owners mouth. That was reason as to why everything was like it was. Again, no one could eat anything because it was cold and not fit to eat, what food we did get. Plus by then it’s almost closing time. We told her it wasn’t fair that we pay for food that was cold and that we didn’t get. She finally says she agreed. There were a few things that were ok and some drinks that needed to be paid for so as we are leaving and paying for those things the cops come in. Needless to say the manager there calls the cops on my family saying we were refusing to pay. Of course once my family explained what happened and you could clearly see all the food on the table the cops knew we were not there trying to just walk out after eating because we clearly didn’t eat! Poor management at an establishment will harm your business and if you continue to do business like this, people will not continue to enjoy...
Read moreI have been disappointed with my food, the last two times. But worse than that is the Management customer service. I purchased a gift certificate at Restaurant.com. The first time I tried to use it, was several months ago. I was told they were no longer accepting them. The Boss/Manager/Owner refused to come speak to me. But told our very nice waitress, to tell me. There information was supposed to have been removed months before. They were all shocked it was still on the site. I was told they would contact them Monday morning. To make sure it was removed that day. Well I contacted Restaurant.com, last week. After seeing Yarborough's was still listed. I was told they should be honoring my certificate. That they had no record of Yarborough's requesting to be removed at any time. That they were still part of the site. Well last weekend a whole group of us went back. I told the waitress about my gift certificate. She didn't even have to go ask anyone about it. She immediately told me they were not allowed to accept them. She said she had been told it was removed. I told her she could pull it up right now. She seemed surprised. Said she had been told it had been removed at the beginning of the pandemic. WOW! These people have been ripping people off for over 2 years. I asked again to speak with management. I was told there was no one there to speak to. So I asked for the owners name and number. I was given a regular restaurant card. With the name Cheryl Walser quickly written on the back. I have called and left a message. But so far no call back. Big Surprise! They should be ashamed...
Read moreThis was our first time here and sadly we won’t be back. I was overly excited by all the reviews and on our way back from Charlotte, thought why not? My food came out prepared wrong and while I tried to eat it, it tasted like meat from a discounted grocery market. I tried, I really did but just couldn’t do it. In the waitress defense she offered to make me a new meal but after tasting the meat, I just couldn’t do it. Not to offend anyone, I just didn’t eat it. When we got ready to leave she saw I had not ate my entree only the sides. Just a side note, they don’t actually have twice baked potatoes, it’s instant potatoes with a whole lot of cheese on it. She came back and said instead of charging me full price, she took off a side item, literally the only thing I ate was my sides. My husband didn’t eat his entree either, the bread was very hard and he also stated his meat had an odd taste. In his words, “this was the worst food I have had in my life.” That’s saying a lot since he has travelled all over the world. I am sad it wasn’t what we expected and I’m not sure how the other reviews are so high? Perhaps we didn’t order the right things? Whatever the reason, we won’t be back, even with a $2.00 discount on an...
