The Scoop at The Airport — Restaurant in Liberty

Nice little ice cream located right at the pickens airport. The little restaurant serves a few sandwiches and icecream. There is seating inside and outside on the covered porch. The airports runway is located directly out from the main entrance of the restaurant and easily visible to watch any airplanes that are landing or taking off. Also there is a nice little playground located even closer to the runway. A few convenient benches are located there as well for adults to relax on while watching the kids. This location has a kid-friendly menu featuring paninis, sandwiches, and of course all the ice cream things to satisfy even your pickiest eater.

I got a Pepperoni Grilled Cheese panini. Mozzarella and pepperoni pressed on buttery sourdough bread with pizza sauce on the side. Simple, nothing fancy but man did this hit the spot. 🤤 It made my heart do a happy dance.

And of course, ice cream because the beautiful weather said so.

Had 5 children and myself. 2 milkshakes and 3 ice creams were not cheap. Asked if I could get my one scoop divided into two separate flavors and was told No. I didn’t argue and I was nice. Every other ice cream shop that I have been to allows this. It’s not hard to do, you just get one spoon of one flavor and one spoon of another flavor and place them in a cup or cone together.
