I stopped into Paddy's Mac, Lima's oldest Irish pub, for a bit of nostalgia last night since I haven't lived here in 20 years. One question came to mind: when did Paddy Mac's become the spot? It was absolutely packed in there.
The atmosphere was vibrant with a live band playing outside who were simply amazing. Inside, there was a jukebox and a .75 cent pool table, adding to the pub’s old-school charm. The large drafts, over 32 oz, were only $4, and the food prices looked like they were straight out of the 90s.
The highlight of the night was definitely the bartender, Summer. Even though she was working the bar by herself, she handled it like a seasoned pro, ensuring that no one had to wait long for their drinks. It might have been her 30th birthday, but she was serving like she had been behind the pine for 30 years.
