There needs to be a lot of improvement before we consider dinning here again. The overall décor and atmosphere was rustic, comforting, and laid-back and it seems to be a popular local hang-out. We spent $70 (including tip) for the two of us and we were provided plastic forks and knives to eat with. Single use plastics is something that many restaurants are doing away with but if you are charging upscale prices, have some class and bring out the stainless steel utensils. We ordered the black ale and the iced tea. Both the tea and beer were excellent. The pretzel bites was average but the processed cheese sauce was not a good pair with the pretzels. Any simple Google search will suggest cheeses that better pair with pretzels like gouda or a sharp cheddar. Processed cheeses are just too salty and lacks adequate texture for dipping. Then came our grilled cheese. We shared the French dip grilled cheese and the brisket grilled cheese. The au jus was served cold and the waitstaff seemed not to know it was supposed to be served hot. In addition, the French dip consisted of three, thinly-sliced slices of deli roast beef and enough cheese and bread to drown-out any taste of the meat. The brisket grilled cheese was prepared similarly. I could not tell the difference between the two different sandwiches. They tasted the same. These sandwiches were $14 each and to be so disproportionally crafted, is complete neglect. The fries were not cooked to our satisfaction and were soggy and tasted old. Paying 75 cents for the side of ranch is completely within budget but it would have been nice if the waitstaff informed us when we placed the order. The entire meal was...

This was my second and last chance for this dive bar/"restaurant". I had a friend visiting who loves grilled cheese and I decided to give this place another try because I had a burger the first visit. I was completely mortified that the "dining room" badly needed painting and updating. Our server Rochelle was very pleasant and prompt. Our food was brought out far too fast by a different server. We didn't have any time to eat our appetizer before the main course was brought out. When we commented about it, the server said the kitchen didn't have any other orders. There were so many flies in the restaurant that it was disgusting. The grilled cheese sandwiches were flavorless. Definitely never going back!

Notice the reply from this business. I never said we weren't attended to properly, I complimented the waitress and I certainly never was personally insulting as this person did in their reply. The fact is the food came out too fast from the kitchen. To make a remark about avoiding family picnics and parties where you would expect to encounter flies, has nothing to do with the flies that should never be in a restaurant. There are many restaurants in PA near a river that you do not have to constantly swat flies away, no matter what month it is. The food was brought home for animals since it was edible but unpleasant. Good restaurants get plenty of verbal praise. A bad review is a warning for consumers.

Perhaps you should work on professionalism because it is blatantly obvious why this is a dive bar and not...

This place is awful....

My wife and I have given this place several tries as it's a neighborhood favorite but for the life of us we can't figure out why.....

For starters, food sucks....and the menu does not reflect the food they serve...grilled cheeses are served on "Texas Toast" which is just sandwich bread. Also, you'll be shooing away flies all night...

Now the service is just as bad if not worse than the food. I'm 24 so I am accustomed to getting my ID checked when ordering a beer, but these folks take it to a whole new level...every time we come, the staff asks for BOTH my and my wife's ID (despite the fact she's not ordering alcohol)...when asked, the staff says "it is a state law" even though I get beers all the time from everywhere else in PA and they never ask my wife for her ID.

If that's not bad enough, this last time we dined here, our waitress ran off with both IDs not saying where she was going or what she did with them. I assume she scanned them like at a liquor store but still super weird....

If you've read this far and still want to eat here for some reason, you'll be paying an extra 3% if you decide to...

#Transform miss Madi from her grown in highlights, with a DIY pink peekaboo to remove🫣 • First using @Matrix color remover we took out the "temporary" pink. PSA the "comes out in a few washes" are total BS. They stick around. • After that was out we moved on to a highlight and lowlight combo to keep it dimensional and blend✨🥳#hairtok #influencer #hairinfluencer #hairtransformation #hairbeforeandafter #salonowner
