Average rueben, not bad, but didn't knock my socks off. I do prefer dark rye and the meat to be crisped a bit. The portion was huge. The fries were fresh and hot. I'm pretty sure their breakfast will be good. It is a very basic diner with a huge menu selection. Update: stopped in again for the Philly cheesesteak with mushrooms. It wasn't as beefy on the meat as the reuben but the flavor was good. The complimentary piece of German chocolate cake was a surprise bonus for running in right before they closed for the day. Service top notch! The service was comfortable and friendly. It is kinda like eating at your neighbor's house. They wanted to make sure I was well taken care of. Very nice ppl. If I lived close by, I would end up with 2-3 menu items that would become standard orders.

Had fish it was very good. Got a large Greek salad and was disappointed it had no hot peppers, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes it had lamb that I would rather not had in exchange for the things I mentioned that were missing. I would go back

Great breakfast. I had the corned beef hash. Friendly staff, fair prices. Definitely worth the effort.

My review would’ve been higher if my experience today was better.

I usually stop here to eat breakfast/lunch when I’m in Sanford, it’s a cute, family owned business. You seat yourself and a waitress comes up with menus/drinks quickly. Almost every time I’ve gone, it’s been a burger. I love their burgers and their breakfast is nothing to complain about. It’s homemade tasting and it’s pretty good.

Today, I went for lunch. Decided to go outside my box with a Turkey Bacon Melt and Fries. My mom ordered the same meal as me because they were out of gyros. Well, we sat there for about 30 min- 1 hour for our sandwiches. We almost left, but we didn’t know if they had started making our food and didn’t want to be wasteful. Finally we get our food, it was disappointing. You could tell they rushed the cooking on our meal because the bread was still soggy with oil (not enough time on the griddle.) and the fries were awful. So soggy and limp, no flavor. The sandwich besides the bread being soggy, wasn’t my favorite. No condiments on it or offered (we asked for mustard for ours.) the Turkey was too much per slice. The cheese and bacon were cooked perfect. Bacon was super crispy, so I’m not sure why the sandwich/fries weren’t as crispy. If we are already waiting a long time for our food, just take your time and don’t rush toasting our sandwich / pulling fries from the griddle too early.

We ended up eating most of our sandwich because we didn’t want to waste and we were hungry, barely ate our fries. We were going to order a slice of cheesecake, but passed due to the poor meal quality we had today. This is the first time in multiple visits where I wasn’t satisfied with my food. The staff are super friendly and kind, place is convenient to stop at when I’m in town, bathrooms are good to go.

My mom also experienced bathroom issues within an hour or two of eating here and I also had bubble guts too. I’ve never had this kind of experience here before, but want to mention it because that also added onto our experience.

Overall, I will come here again, but it will be a while. I think I will stick to breakfast and burgers. Really hope their fries are better next time because the last three trips, their fries have been homemade, crispy and definitely not soggy. Maybe we came on an off day. If my next visit in the next few months goes better, I’ll raise my score to a 4/5. But because of today, I have to give it a...

Worst service ever. I am not sure what happened to this place. We have been there a few times in the past and had great food and good service. We went there last night for dinner and had a horrible experience. The place was not even half full and our waitress kept apologizing that they were so busy to everyone she was serving (4 tables) and there were other waitresses that were working too.

It was very hot and seemed to have no ventilation because the place was full of smoke from the kitchen. We waited 23 minutes for our drinks and in that time watched 2 other tables come in and leave due to the poor service. At one point we could hear the waitress poke fun of an older couple that left before ordering, even though her horrible service was the reason they left. She loudly says, “I don’t know why they are leaving, they have menus.” Even though they had menus for 20 mins and no drinks.

Once we received our drinks, the waitress said she would be right back to get out order. 10 minutes later she came back to take our order (apologizing again because they were busy, even though they were not busy, and we could see everything she was doing). Our kids wanted French toast (breakfast served all day) and she said they were too busy to cook any breakfast. We had finally had enough and said never mind we are leaving. The waitress then rudely said, “I guess we can make it” we politely declined and said no thanks we were tired of the horrible service. Then she said we owed $15 for 4 kids drinks, 1 water and 1 diet cola that we never even took a drink of. I said I am not paying 15$ for the drinks. She then accused us of running out on the bill. I said there is no way I am paying 15$ for something I did not drink, she then said you must pay $2 each for the drinks. I left money for the drinks on the table against my better judgement.

I can assure you that we will never go back there. I recommend that you stay away from this place, unless you like poor service, rude waitresses and leaving feeling like you have just been ripped off.

I would rate this place less than 1 star...

I've ate from here before and it was good. However, this experience has been quite the opposite. I ordered a chicken quesadilla to go. Very simple, right? It was supposed to come with tomatoes, lettuce, jalapenos, sour cream and salsa on the side. I got home and I received no tomatoes, no sour cream or salsa, about 1 tablespoon of brown wet lettuce and 2 tiny slices of jalapeno. It seemed as if there was about an 1/8 cup of chicken on the entire quesadilla and barely any onion, green pepper or cheese. It was truly the saddest quesadilla I've ever seen in my life and that is basically all I order at restaurants since it's simple and quick so I've had my fair share. It was mainly tortilla. It just flopped over due to lack of insides. While I was inside picking up the food, I could hear other customers complaining about food being cold, sending it back and one couple even got up and left before their food arrived. I am not sure what happened to this place since the last time I came but it has really gone down hill. Very disappointed. Will...
