Excellent service, nice owners but the food needs work. My wife had french dip which was more like a shreaded steak sandwhich, it was just OK. She also had a pickel martini which was excellent! I had spaghetti with red clam sauce. What I received was spaghetti soaked in some kind of broath, with very small clams on half shells, (very salty) with a small side of red clam sauce. Quite frankly it was pretty bad. You could purchase progresso clam sauce in the grocery store and put on top of linguine and have a much better dish. Clearly this is for bar/pub style food like burgers and fries. I would take this item off of the menu. I voice my concern to one of the owners who offered my something, but i was not looking for a free meal. Just wanted her to know how bad the dish really was. Like I said, excellent service. By the way there have several restuarants that have not surived at this location and we live in the area and have tried everyone. Just not a good location for...
Read moreI ordered takeout and was disappointed in everything we ordered. The burger was extremely undercooked, essentially raw. Once I cooked it more in the microwave it was good until I encountered large pockets of salt in some bites. The potato skins had a consistency that tasted like they were made a week ago and heated up until the bottom was burnt. The onion strings were varying sizes and degrees of doneness with several fries and one fried clam thrown in for added flavor. I have a shellfish allergy so it could’ve been dangerous for me if I had accidentally eaten the clam. All in all a huge waste of money and wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Edited to add that the burger was definitely not medium rare, it was rare. If it was not a clam in the onion strings then it was another piece of fried sea food, possibly calamari, which is on your menu. The rude and accusatory tone of your response is completely unprofessional as a...
Read moreWe were just passing thru and figured we would give this place a try. Wasn't busy on a Sunday night, but food took a really long time to come out. The bartender was too busy chit chatting that when she finally got the food it all came out at the same time instead of appetizers first.
The fried pickles were soggy and cold. The burger was at least pretty good and cooked medium rare, that's always a plus. The fried fish had a nice crisp to it. Was hoping for a bit more flavor, but it was good. After getting thru most of the fries though I found something very questionable hiding behind the fries. Looks like a beard hair and scab stuck to my plate. Absolutely nasty.
Maybe if the people weren't in the kitchen drinking on the job this oversight would've been caught. Someone came out the back and poured themselves a huge pitcher of beer. Not a great start to a new restaurant. If this is how you're gonna conduct business...
