I was lucky enough to visit Brugge, Belgium in the early 2000ās when my husband had to go for work. My happiest memory is of renting a bicycle and riding all around the city and stopping at all the different chocolatiers. I bought a kilo of chocolates at each shoppe then stopped at an outdoor cafe to taste test and compare with a rich cup of Belgian coffee. It was pure bliss!
I couldnāt tell you which was best but I can say, I have never experienced that level of excellence in chocolate since...until now!
I was delighted to find Lulubee chocolates this year and, after my first taste of her Madagascar chocolate truffle, I was transported back to that glorious day in Belgium and nearly wept. I have tried so many of the so called luxury chocolates since that day and NONE have compared. Ghirardelli, Godiva, Hagen-Daas, Lindt, Russell Stover, Bakerās, Palmerās, Frango, Sanders, Mrs. Seeās, Vosges, Toblerone, Ritter-Sport, Cadbury, Chuao, etc...NONE have taken me back to that cherished day until Lulubee.
So, spend the money on a superior product knowing that youāre supporting a Nebraska Mom that has turned a hobby into her passion and thank your lucky stars you found her! Your tastebuds...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOur experience at Lulubee's was by-far the best chocolate tour we have had. Every step left me mind-blown and amazed at all of the wonderful and amazing work put into the creation of the chocolates, the coats, and the variety of flavors. My favorite flavor was their seasonal raspberry lemonade bonbon. From obscure flavors such as root beer float, passionfruit, basil lime, and strawberry balsamic (another one of my favorites) to the classics such as mint, orange, and lemon (my third favorite), the bonbon flavors linger in your mouth and keep you satisfied awhile after taking a bite. This is the best photo I was able to get of the bonbons, and it still does not do justice to the bright sheen and pops of color coating the outside of the bonbons. The inside of the store was very clean and it had a window through which customers could see the kitchen where the delicious treats were being made. Lulubee's is truly artisan chocolate, and it was amazing to see the passion and care through which the owner pours herself into the creation of the different flavors. I cannot stress enough how highly I recommend Lulubee Artisanal Chocolates, and these would make the perfect gifts for anyone...

The shop is exceptionally clean and pristine. The people are all friendlier than regular friendly. You can feel their passion for the chocolates and for people. I could go on and on about the service, but their chocolates that I've tried have been superb. I hadn't been in the store to buy this, it was gifted to me, an Easter egg piece that's slightly larger. I was hoping to find something similar but it turns out those are limited time items.
We actually got to try some chocolate that wasn't going to make it this round into their fall line up. It was mild in flavor but delicious. I'm still thinking about it two days later.
You can find their chocolates at other stores, but I would recommend coming here to purchase them. The experience will probably be superior, though in a pinch if you have the craving and you aren't close, then don't wait.
Parking is free and available in a medium sized shared lot.
If you get a chance say hi to Gaylene, the owner. She loves...
