Meridians Restaurant — Restaurant in Lincoln

The location of the restaurant is beautiful! The service and the food was not what we expected. We decided to sit outside because it was a beautiful day and we wanted to enjoy the view of the golf course. A bus boy came over and took our drink order. After the waiter failed to come to our table to take our meal order, the bus boy took our order. We rarely saw our waiter. We ordered several appetizers and they were brought out with our meals, which was dissapointing. One of the appetizers we order was breaded zucchini sticks. They were bland and soggy. All of our meals were not very good. My wife ordered a steak and it was tough and tasted like someone poured lighter fluid on it. She couldnt even finish the steak. Overall, all the food was very bland. We told our waiter about the steak. He offered to put in another order to replace the steak, but at that point we didn't want anything else. The manager did come over and apologize. He also offered to replace the steak or give us something else, free of charge. I have to give them an "A" for the effort to try to make up for the bad meal. In the end, they removed the cost of the steak meal off of our bill. Unfortunately, given the overall experience we had, we will not be going back to try this...

We enjoyed our BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger and Salmon Almondine for dinner at Meridians. The food was very good. The food did come out quickly. The environment was very clean, pretty, and appointed like a cruise ship. The service was unfortunately very slow even with 3-4 servers for the whole restaurant. Water refills were unbelievably slow. I was also quite disturbed to be charged for both my table and an adjoining table. Fortunately, I spotted the two charges going thru with my credit card app alerts. I mentioned this to the server and then got an admission of what had happened and that they were working on correcting it. The server then checked I got back the correct card, which was concerning. Unfortunately, there was no apology from anyone. By the time we got to our car I saw a credit pending on my card for the second charge. I will now keep my eye out that this second charge is properly zeroed out. Food is good, but clearly staff training still needs work. In my opinion, there is NO excuse for mischarging like this. Fortunately, they did not misplace my card (unlike another restaurant in Lincoln. Again, NO excuse for...

Right now they are only serving takeout or patio dining. We are on the patio. They are doing what they can within the Covid restrictions. The patio is south facing and a little warm in the afternoon sun but the view is wonderful overlooking the waterfall at the 18 green of the Orchard Creek course.

Very attentive service. We were seated right at 6:30 (our reservation time) and almost immediately had our drink order taken and provided house buns. The buns were warm tender and delicious.

We had the special of the day which was a spinich stuffed pork chop. The chop was served on a bed of polenta with a berry/wine reduction and a pat of chevre cheese melted on top.

My chop had a good sear on it but was a little dry. My wife's however was very tender and juicy. The reduction was delicious and worked very well with both the cheese and the chop.
