On our first visit to The Forester Pub, we sat at the huge bar and ordered drinks. The young blonde woman bartender was very sweet. I had the "Jag," a Tito's Bloody Mary with celery and an olive/pepperoncini/bacon garnish ($10) with added shrimp ($2) and my husband had a Boothbay Thirsty Botanist. I loved the Jag's mix. It had a good balance between the horseradish and Worcestershire. The shrimp were large and fresh. The Thirsty Botanist was very hoppy and refreshing.

We ordered the bacon-wrapped kielbasa appetizer and a poutine potato skin special to go. I think they were both $8. We didn't look at them until we got home. It seemed to me that the kielbasa app had been nuked. The kielbasa pieces were small and shriveled, as was the bacon. The box with the skins weighed well over a pound. There was quite a bit of baked potato still left in the skins, which were covered with a savory beef gravy (it seemed to be a commercial gravy) and a bit of cheese curd. It was definitely the better of the two apps.

Before our last dinner in town, we stopped there again for another nonbrunch Bloody Mary. I very rarely drink these days, so having 2 of these in a week meant that I really enjoyed them. The 2nd Jag was just as good as the first with an added black pepper garnish. My husband had one also so I didn't have to share. The young man who was bartending was patient and pleasant.

I saw a couple of quirky things while sitting at the bar that I don't want to discuss publicly, but suffice it to say that I was uncomfortable enough to move from the bar to a table. I wish there had been a manager to kindly request that these situations be moved from the bar to a more private area of the restaurant, especially on a busy Friday evening. We bussed our own table when we left and the older brunette bartender who was then on duty chose not to make eye contact when we tried to return our glasses and throw out our trash. That was a little odd.

"If you are seeking to have a disappointing dining experience and waste your hard-earned money, I strongly advise against visiting this establishment. The quality of their food leaves much to be desired, as they consistently prepare it incorrectly, resulting in burnt dishes and stale bread and buns. Moreover, their pasta sauce often tastes spoiled, and shockingly, they have the audacity to blame the customer for their own incompetence. Regrettably, the subpar food is not the only issue plaguing this establishment. The service provided by the waitstaff is equally problematic. Despite requiring patrons to present three forms of identification, they still struggle to serve customers efficiently. Ironically, it seems that minors have no trouble being served, which raises concerns about their adherence to legal regulations. As a former regular customer, I have experienced countless "mistakes" during my visits. The consistently disappointing food and the dismissive attitude towards customer feedback have pushed me to my limit. It is disheartening to be told that the customer's satisfaction is not a priority and that we must accept whatever is served to us simply because "management said so." In light of these experiences, I strongly urge you to consider alternative dining options that prioritize quality, professionalism, and customer satisfaction. Your hard-earned money deserves to be spent on an establishment that values your patronage and strives to provide an exceptional dining...

Please read review to see why i gave you guys a great review: Ordered tonight and there were some issues with our order that we placed online, fiance had to wait but he wasn't worried about it since he was able to talk to a friend. He said there was a mess up getting the ticket in which is completely fine. We both have worked in food service and things happen. I'm not much of a meat for a lot of different reasons based on health necessities besides it being ethical or not. The veggie wrap was messed up leading me to believe there was hamburger in it which is one of the hardest Meats I have to eat. We were also missing a side salad and other things. However after calling they completely responded like how a professional business does. They apologized and refunded our WHOLE order despite the rest of the food my fiance had eaten was delicious and their mashed were perfect. They also re made my wrap and got the rest of the items from the order and they're DELICIOUS. To the new girl trying to get used to things: you got this and after some times will get easier To the manager that gave us the refund: you're awesome even though we would have been willing to pay for the stuff we did get And to the cooks that prepared our food, it's DELICIOUS Thank you for doing what you did. You're a great business that obviously cares about your customers. Keep up the wonderful work! Edit: they put a veggie burger in not a hamburger pattie but I have a hard time with the taste matching up...

Our recent visit to The Forester Pub in Lincoln, Maine, was an enjoyable experience from start to finish. We dropped in for some appetizers and beer, and left thoroughly satisfied. We ordered the mozzarella wedges and paired them with an iced coffee stout. The mozzarella wedges were perfectly crispy on the outside and deliciously gooey on the inside, making for a delightful appetizer. The iced coffee stout was a unique and refreshing choice, complementing the wedges perfectly with its rich and smooth flavor. The atmosphere at The Forester is truly inviting. The rustic decor, warm lighting, and cozy seating make it a perfect spot for a relaxed evening. We were seated quickly, and the overall vibe was both comfortable and welcoming. The staff at The Forester deserve special mention. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with friendly smiles and prompt service. Our server was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our visit. The Forester Pub is a gem in Lincoln, Maine. Whether you're stopping by for a full meal or just grabbing some appetizers and drinks, you're in for a treat. We loved our experience and will definitely be returning. Highly recommended for great food, drinks, and an excellent atmosphere! Would definitely come back!
