A must-to go-to experience for anyone visiting the University of Nebraska at Lincoln and some of the best ice cream in the area! Beware of what cup-size of ice cream you get, 'cause you will get double of what you order (nice!). The products that you will find at the UNL Dairy Store are made at the University itself - most, if not all, in the same building... and during regular hours, you can even see some of these items being made! Been about a year since I’ve been here and apparently they still don’t like to use their shake machine and turn it on even though they’re still open for a half hour. Very disappointed in the service for a place that’s supposed to be such a staple for Lincoln and UNL. You know college kids, some of us have to stay hours after our shift is over because our jobs are important. Keep the shake machine on, trust me you probably won’t have to stay three hours late if a couple people want you to make them a shake a half hour before you close. Been coming here years, generally great. In the summer I tend to come after sundown to avoid the heat. I get hard pack shakes around 8:40-8:50 with no issue. Today, a busy saturday night, the employees decided to clean the shake machine at 8:30. My business went to Ivana Cone, where it will stay for the foreseeable future.
