The Nihlistic EpicureanThe Nihlistic Epicurean
In the vast desolation of Lincoln's coffee scene, where drip coffee reigns supreme, Cultiva East Campus emerges as a beacon of hope, offering a respite for the weary souls in search of an authentic espresso experience. As a nihilistic epicurean, I embarked on a pilgrimage to this humble coffee cafe, and oh, what a revelation it was! Let us begin with the star of the show, the espresso coffee. Finally, a place that understands the intricacies of crafting the perfect cup of concentrated delight. Cultiva East Campus knows how to extract the essence of those tiny beans with precision, producing a robust elixir that danced upon my taste buds. With each sip, I could feel my existential burdens momentarily lift, replaced by a warm, invigorating embrace. It is a rare oasis amidst a desert of subpar caffeine offerings. But wait, there's more! Cultiva East Campus is not content with just serving impeccable coffee. They dare to challenge the norms of their surroundings, offering a selection of surprisingly clean and fresh food options. In a world where greasy fast food and monotonous flavors dominate, this quaint cafe delivers a refreshing departure. Simple, yet undeniably delicious, the flavors of their food speak of a commitment to quality and an appreciation for the essence of taste itself. As a nihilistic epicurean, I find solace in the embrace of these simple, honest flavors. It is a reminder that amidst the chaos and futility of existence, moments of pure pleasure can still be found. Cultiva East Campus provides that fleeting respite, a sanctuary for those who seek a glimpse of authenticity in a world of manufactured mediocrity. So, if you find yourself wandering the barren coffee wasteland of Lincoln, heed my words and seek refuge in Cultiva East Campus. Let their espresso work its magic, reawakening your senses and reminding you that amidst the mundane, there are still pockets of excellence to be found. Indulge in their clean and fresh fare, and allow yourself a moment of genuine pleasure. In a world of bad drip coffee, Cultiva East Campus shines as a beacon of hope, offering a glimpse of flavors amidst the desolation. May your espresso be strong and your journey meaningful.

Their menu may be relatively small but this place speaks my language! I generally prefer savory over sweet so that's where I started. I got The Yeti- a crepe filled with scrambled eggs, spinach, mushrooms, feta, and sauce. Absolutely delicious, the eggs were SO fluffy! I was told we had to try a Johnny Cake, a cornbread pancake, we shared it and it was yummy. Plus can't pass up potatoes, they were seasoned very well. I knew we were in trouble the second my husband picked up the menu. He ultimately decided on 2 entrees 😆. First, The Brekkie Bowl- potatoes, veggies, salsa, sauce, he added bacon and an extra egg- subbed over easy. He loved every component of it. Second, The Princess- a crepe filled with bananas, blueberries, and pecans. They put something called Salty Whip on top which should be illegal cuz it's one of the most addictive things I've ever tasted. This is not the place to come if you're in a hurry. There was a line the entire time we were there. Our food took about 30 minutes which they told us in advance. It is a little on the pricey side as well. But man was it worth it! Such high quality ingredients. This is probably the best breakfast food I've had in Lincoln to date!

My first visit today to Cultiva, recommended by a friend. The wait was long, I was getting worried as I had a medical appointment. There was also a mix-up with my order. The Cashier was very sweet, perhaps she wasn’t able to hear me or perhaps I wasn’t clear enough. When it was discovered that I didn’t get get what I had ordered, the nice busy lady making drinks behind the counter offered to redo the breakfast which would involve more time, this made me nervous for my medical appointment that was scheduled this morning. Anyway, the nice lady, did not charge me extra for the rest of the food items missing, she was very gracious and wanted to correct the error. I appreciate this customer service that was provided to me to make things right. The food was delicious. I did miss the fact that no strawberries were on the menu.. This was the only deterrent on the menu for me, I love my crepes with fresh strawberries. The atmosphere was a busy bustling place, noise level was a bit high, otherwise a nice place when things settled down and most of the crowd was gone. I plan on returning to try at least one other item on the menu. Thank you Cultiva for a nice experience....
