I happened upon this place last week and thought it would be a great place for my husband and I to try. Boy was I ever wrong. When the guy brought our food he asked if I needed another plate because he knew I was going to share my food with my 4 year old granddaughter. I said yes and he brought another Styrofoam plate. I asked for another spoon so she could have some rice and beans and his response was "they are over there, I have other customers." WOW! The service goes to crap once you pay. Then there's the food. It was absolutely nasty; zero flavor at all. The guy was touting their food as "authentic Mexican"; to that I cannot stop laughing. I've had true "authentic Mexican" food from an authentic Mexican and this garbage was not even close to the quality or flavor of true Mexican food. The beans tasted like canned beans, the rice was just bland peach colored rice. The chicken was disgusting. My husband got the XXL burrito and it's literally a tortilla and meat. There was no cheese, no rice just the "burrito" sitting on a tiny bit of beans. After maybe 5 bites my husband pushed his plate away and said he was done. My granddaughter who eats pretty much anything wouldn't eat it either. $53 wasted because I still have to go home and feed everyone. I asked my husband if he wanted me to get a container so we could take it home for the dogs; his response "absolutely not, I won't feed that garbage to the dogs". We live locally and eat at local restaurants often but we won't...
Read moreMy family discovered this place today & saw the good starts, so we were excited to try. Unfortunately it was a disappointment. The front of house service was great & deserves 5 stars, but everything else is a 1. Their "Carne Asada" was weird & hardly edible. My 4 year old couldn't even eat it (this 4 year old eats almost anything) & the manager refused to remake her food with a different meat without charging us again. Her food was clearly untouched. They just lost a 1st time customer that lives locally & would have potentially returned frequently, if they would have made it right. My husband said the carnitas was okay, I would have been willing to try that & some of their other meats in the future if it hadn't been for them not fixing my daughter's food. We left to take my daughter home & feed her... there was no mild sauce my daughter could even try to mask the weird meat. They charge extra for salsa. Also, there was an awful sewer smell in the...
Read moreIf not for the good tamale, I would have rated 1 star. I ordered a tamale and El burrito XXL chicken. I do not recommend the burrito at all. They didn't give me chicken, gave me beef. I ordered to-go so I couldn't just switch it back out. They weren't crowded so this is not a mistake you expect. For $17 this burrito should have more. It's literally just meat, rice, they say beans but I only saw literally one bean, and I think there's cheese lined in the burrito. It needs more, at least Pico. It's incredibly dry. If not for the salsa verde I had at home, would be completely unappetizing.
Sorry, but I'm not going back if this is the price and quality I get. There's better Mexican to...
