Never ever have I walked out of a restaurant due to the quality of food, until today. Our service was amazing!! Very attentive and kind. However, the food was the worst I've ever had come out of a kitchen. I don't know what was going on back there - but it was not good. My daughter had hahbrowns, scrambled eggs, bacon, and toast. The toast was still bread - we requested it be more toasted. Then she got into the hashbrowns - they were tasteless and cold to the touch. The eggs were anemic and she never tried them. Bacon was cold, but cooked well and had flavor. My plate had two eggs over easy which were still raw and I could not get myself to eat them. The white over the yolk and around the edges was still translucent and the yolk was pure raw. My hashbrowns were also cold to the touch and tasteless. I didn't get to the toast, but it appeared ok. The sausage links were awesome and I wish I could have taken those with me. My other daughter got pancakes. When I asked her how they were, she replied, "You want to try?" At that point I went to who I thought was the manager because of her level of attentiveness, kindness, energy, and appearance.... apparently it was her first day and she was training!!! She was running circles around everyone else. Finally told my server the problem ans she got the manager. I apologized to the manager because I've NEVER complained about food like that or been that disappointed in what we were served. I told her we just wanted to leave because at that point everything would need to be fixed. Rusty Cow it is! We really wanted to have another breakfast option in the area, but this is definitely not the alternative. I hope they figure something out soon. I should have tried the bloody Mary bar...
Read moreWe had our daughters rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, wedding and reception on October 7, 2017. I would like to start out by saying that everything went great and the decorations were over the top.
Our officiant wouldn't make it to our rehearsal, so Liz stepped in, gave us choices on the order of procession and played music on her phone that the bride and groom picked from the d.j.'s list ahead of time so we could practice. We selected the hamburger bar which had the best tasting burgers. I reserved a room for 2 nights at the Hampton Inn 10 miles north of the bar so that the bride, girls and I would have a place to dress and relax until the ceremony.
The wedding and reception was great. Our daughter wanted an arch which we rented at white bear rental for $30 for 48 hours (picked up on Friday and brought back on Sunday). Liz's expertise in decorating the tables with centerpieces made the room pop. Trappers Bar has wonderful centerpieces. The ceiling and wall drapery was well worth the money and made the room. We also used their lights for behind the wall drapery for a small fee and had the lights match the color of the bridesmaids dresses (aqua) which added a lot to the room and made it glow. We brought in our own cake, so paid a small fee to have Trappers staff cut and serve the cake, well worth it also.
Bride and groom selected Prime Rib, Seasoned chicken, chicken strips for kids and Caesar salad. The food was great. We got so many compliments on the room decorations and the food. I also brought coloring books and crayons for the kids.
I would highly recommend Trappers Bar & Grill to anyone. Liz was great, courteous and very helpful. Everyone had a great time and the place looked...
Read moreI don’t even know where to begin on this. It took the waitress 30 minutes to come over and even talk to us. This place was not busy at all. Finally after 50 minutes of being there we got our drinks. Placed our order, the waitress brought one plate out at a time. When we told her she forgot the salad she said no it’s still in the back and we canceled it. We told her the salad should have come before the hot meal. The pizza was cold, it was sliced so big made it hard to eat. We asked for a pizza slicers to cut them smaller but instead of offering to take the plate to make them smaller, she just said sorry I cannot bring the pizza cutter out. It’s too big. While we were still eating because we knew that it was going to take forever, we had asked for our tab, which never came the whole time we ate so we finished our meal. Finally got our tab. It took her so long to run the card and return back to us by that time we were standing at our table watching the waitress scan our credit card to pay for the food. What customers need to stand at their table after done eating to wait for their credit card because the waitress is taking so long to process everything. It definitely made us frustrated and made the whole experience dining absolutely horrible. I absolutely will...
