(To be fair this place is new and needs to work out their kinks asap. I will do a follow up review after a month.) I was super excited a company finally brought beignets to the area. I took my wife and kids to check it out. They all love the beignets I make at home so we came to give it a whirl. Unfortunately the machine was broken and they ended up having a bagel, croissant, and two hot chocolates. My wife and I ordered the same to keep it simple- two coffees and two Cuban sandwiches. $55 and 40 min later our sandwiches and one of the hot chocolates came out. The kids making the food are still in training but it shouldn't take 40 min to get your food, I'm sorry. The sandwiches did end up being good and the cafe lattes are delicious. It's just the timing. The atmosphere is bright and modern which isn't a bad thing but It could use a little life to it since every Starbucks is sterile like this. Not enough āsingleā seats which forces the use of tables for two thus limiting total capacity. Lighting is rather sterile and angled in such a way that it can be blinding to those who are seated. Music in the seating area was barely audible especially when blenders and frothing equipment was in use. When busy the noise level is rather loud and it makes having a conversation with the person next to you challenging not to mention a battle for voice level supremacy. Perhaps adding shades to cut down on the glare from outside will also provide some noise dampening relief. Coffee drinks are great, staff seems friendly, but service is no speedier than SBUX. Got some drinks that were ok, but really went for beignets and the machine was apparently broken by 10amā¦unfortunately we had already put in an order and nobody including the manager even told us. After an hour of sitting waiting and being patient we finally asked about our order and were told we had been refunded for them? but nobody mentioned anything. Very disorganized sadly.
