I decided to treat my niece, great niece, and daughter to supper here Thursday night because of the advertised 14.99 tenderloin and shrimp special! Well the only treat to this whole experience was the lovely bartender! When we finally were seated at a table there was an small veggie and cheese spread platter and crackers on the table that's it! The waitress finally made an appearance 5 minutes later and asked if we were ready to order, never introducing herself and not offering to list what the specials or specialties of the house were, I had to ask if the steak and shrimp was the only special they had to which she said yes. That's it never asked if we were there before or first timers nothing just yes and a blank stare. We said we needed a few minutes yet and she walked away didn't bring us water or ask what we wanted to drink nothing. After 15 minutes we went to the bar and got our own drink she then came back took our appetizer order and my 3 yr old great nieces order at which time we asked for an orange juice for her but she still never asked us I'd we needed a beverage or a refill or if my daughter needed a drink! 10 minutes later we went to the bar to get our children a drink and the orange juice we had ordered earlier was sitting there and was never retrieved from.the bar. So we took it ourselves. Waitress came back 25 minutes later with our appetizer took our orders and said oh yeah forgot about her drink and I said u never even asked if my daughter wanted a drink or brought us water! She left and 30 minutes later we got our food! Shrimp was filled with grease under the breading so when my niece and I both bit into a piece of it we burnt our mouths and lips from the hot grease, the steak and potato were both cold and not cooked to our specifications! Medium well is definitely not close to still mooring as our steaks were, and still no water not even did you need anything else, nothing from our waitress!my daughter ordered the chicken cordon Bleu sandwich which was a dried up piece of chicken with a very thin slice of over cooked ham on top and some cheese melted on top of that on a moldy tasting bun with a side of mayo and it tasted so much like lemon you couldn't eat it! My great niece had a cheeseburger took one bite and couldn't eat it we all tried it and the bread was nasty and moldy tasting as well! The next time we saw our waitress ( who only had 5 tables in the whole place to wait on) was to bring our bill, never offered dessert or asked if everything was okay or why we hadn't eaten most of our steaks or sandwhiches, just here's your bill pay at the bar have a nice night! Never have I ever had such crappy service or food as I did this night! My dogs were extremely happy as they got a ton of left over steak and sandwiches but on a side note they didn't even eat the buns from either sandwich either! I will not be returning at any time to this establishment unless I just want good drinks and service from a...
Read moreI'm always looking for a new place to go for a good meal but don't let the semi full parking lot throw you in for a gold mine. Beware.. If you're first impression is an old folks home with rude staff and ignorant management trust your judgement. The waitress from the get go looked irritated that we were even there, mind you most people here are in their 60-70's. So I don't know if it was because we were in our 30's with one child that bothered her or she was just having a bad day. Looking over their menu they don't offer any appetizers. Our waitress takes our order of baked seafood platter, fried seafood platter and a cheeseburger with fries for our daughter's meal. Still at this time she never asked us if we wanted anything to drink. There was water sitting on our table before we sat down. Uncomfortable feeling of not knowing how long that water was sitting there or if it was someone else's. Our coleslaw came out first from our platter, I must say maybe the best part of the whole $16.99 platter. My wife ordered baked seafood platter that consisted of scallops that tasted like they were 3 weeks old, 1 piece of cold haddock and 3 pieces of shrimp. My breaded scallops were good. Deep frying them probably helped with the taste. The shrimp on my platter is a different story. I went to bite into it and they fried them with the tails still attached. It took me by surprise, I've never had that happen. I would say within 5 minutes of getting our food and being completely disappointed we asked for our bill to leave. We didn't bring our platters home as it did taste terrible, there was no reason to bring it back home with us. Our daughter did enjoy her cheeseburger and fries, we did bring that home. We did try to explain to our waitress about our dislikes of our food and she got defensive insisting they were fresh. That was far from the case. We spoke with the hostess about a price adjustment on our meal. We even took pictures of our full plates to show that we didn't touch our food since they first few bites were terrible. She offered us $10 off a $50.00 bill. My wife spoke up and asked for more off while showing her pictures of the food we didn't eat right after receiving. We then spoke with the owner. He told us to give him $20 bucks for the food plus my 4 dollar bar tab, that still was more than we would've like to pay but did it anyways to get out of the restaurant. I predict within 10 years when his clients die this place will go under obviously they are there for the good ol days and not...
Read moreMy family and I decided we would give the place a try after seeing a sign for tenderloin and shrimp $16.99. When we first came in the bartender told us to wait in a little cove as a table was determined for us. Finally my aunt and I approached the bar for our beverages before sitting at our table. Not realizing we had to always order our drinks from the bar. When we sat down the waitress barely introduced herself, never offered drinks to my 3 yr old daughter and 15 yr old cousin. We needed a few mins on deciding when she came back the second time we ordered an appetizer and my daughters cheese burger as well as an orange juice for her since a drink was never offered to her or my cousin still at this point. After ordering my daughters drink I assumed the waitress would've asked my cousin for a drink order. She did not. The waitress whom never gave her name had only 5 tables in the whole place, I ask you why she never suggested or brought water or why it took over 15 mins to get an appetizer of mozzarella sticks and a cheeseburger with fries as well as an orange juice. After waiting so long I gave my cousin money to go get drinks for her and my daughter. The waitress appears a little while after that to say oh I forgot about that juice glad you went and got it. She took our order but never asked if any of us needed refills or anything else to drink. The food finally came and my daughter refused to eat it she ate the soup but not her burger (later to taste it myself and it tasted old) my steak had no flavor and was cold compared to the deep fried shrimp that burned both my aunt and I's mouths. My cousins sandwich was a poor excuse of chicken cordon Bleu. Waitress never asked how it was or nonetheless socialized with us. Never again will we go there. Our dogs are happy with the food though.
I wouldn't recommend going here for dinner. Save your money go to McDonald's over this place at least you'll get flavor and decent...
