We sat outside and the weather was beautiful. We were the only ones out there, so the service wasn't overly attentive, but the weather made up for it.
We tried the cucumber gin and tonic and a French 75 champagne cocktail. The French 75 cocktail was awesome, I asked for it to be made less sweet and they did it perfect.
We got the blueberry goat cheese crostini which I realized afterwards tells you it will only be 2 pieces for $13. The flavor was pretty good, but I expected the blueberry to make it more sweet than it was.
We ordered the lobster roll on special and the grilled scallops off the regular menu. After we got the bill, I saw the price for the lobster roll and it was $20. It was actually two small sandwiches and french fries, which I thought was good for $20. I just wish they would give prices for the specials when they read them off to you.
As for the grilled scallops for $33. The polenta and spinach they were served over was excellent. Maybe the best part of the meal. There were 4 very average sized scallops on top that didn't have great flavor and we love scallops. For $33, the portion was a little skimpy, no bread or salad came with it.
We ordered chicken nuggets with fries for my son, as the menu stated, and they were actually chicken fingers, which he doesn't really like. The portion was large for the money, and the flavor was very good, so after the skimpy scallops, we snacked on that lol.
Overall, pricing and portions were probably as to be expected at a golf course, but flavor and service could have been a little better to make...
Read moreWe were hopeful regarding the Wickie Room. The location sits on the 18th green of the course. Pretty.
We came on a Sunday. It seemed they really needed more wait staff. Our waitress was lovely but she needed to cover at least nine tables on her own. Cocktails took FOREVER to arrive. Not sure why. Thereâs an Italian buffet on Sunday evening. We chose to order off the menu to get a sense of the chefâs ability. Grilling Peach salad, Grilled Caesar Salad, New England Clam Chowder and a Crab Cake as appetizers. Two Burgers, a Ribeye and Scallops as entrees. The salads are a decent size, easily splittable. The scallops were smallish and over cooked. The asparagus and potatoes with the ribeye were great. The burgers we just okay. Dressing on the Caesar was decent . Grilled peach salad was mediocre. They donât have big rocks for drinks or real lLuxardo cherries.
$50/pp. probably...
