I have been hesitant to leave this review because I HATE leaving negative reviews. You can check my reviews and you will see that I am a person who enjoys building businesses up, often taking and sharing photos of the food and the atmosphere. I ordered food for delivery on July 16th at 8:37 pm via the Little Caesars app. After I pressed submit, I immediately realized that I had the delivery address saved as my work address, as I had just placed another order delivered to my work on July 10th. I immediately called customer service after changing the address in the app. They reported that they would try to contact the driver but there would be no guarantees. The driver would not have been involved yet because it had literally been seconds since I submitted the order. So probably 30 min later I got a notification on the app that the driver was on the way. The Little Caesars is less than 5 miles from my house. About 30 min after he had been en route, I noticed the driver's location on the map on the app. He was parked in my neighborhood about 4 blocks away from my house. He stayed in that spot on the map for at least 30 minutes (It was probably closer to an hour). I called customer service again and told them what I had observed and they did not verbally acknowledge what I had told them. They spoke over me and said "the delivery was delayed due to a change in address". The location where the driver was on the map was nowhere near my work address. It began to weird me out that this driver was at this address for so long with our food. I told customer service that I wanted to cancel the order and wanted a refund. Customer service was very rude, continuing to speak over me but eventually said that they would issue a refund. This was in July, the refund never happened. About 40 minutes after that phone conversation, the driver showed up at our door. We did not answer because we didn't want that food. He left it on our doorstep and left. We inspected the food and it was smashed and one of the boxes was open (smashed open). There was no way we were going to eat that. I send an email to customer service and filled out something on the app about my concerns and nobody ever reached out. My work likes to order Little Caesars for lunch, but we are not going to use them anymore. I will also be telling everyone I know about our experience. I think it would behoove you to do some phone etiquette training with your customer service person and find out what the driver is doing when they are supposed to be delivering food. I called to order ahead the person that answered hung up on me I called back same person answered I couldn’t understand him clearly he had asked for my name but second time he asked it was with attitude. I got to the location a 12 minute drive and the order was never put into the system I had to wait 10 more minutes. When I went to pay I explained to the cashier the issue and said would they take something off the price for the poor experience I just had he said no we can’t do that. I asked for a manager he says I am the manager.as a manager he did not acknowledge the experience I just had. Showed absolutely no empathy but offered some sauce. What a slap in the face the manager name is Chris I seriously think corp should look into this because if the manager can’t show good customer service no wonder I had bad service to begin with. I go here often and until meeting this manager with zero customer service skills I would continue to go here but with this experience I won’t be going back. On this occasion despite having ordered an hour ahead for a set time using the online portal I still had to wait for 20 minutes before I lost my composure and demanded to know why my food was not ready after having had 80 minutes to see my online order, prepare it and put it in the collection portal. The tiny store was filled with several people waiting and there were two people outside who also told me they had been waiting for at least 20 minutes and were yet to receive their order. The drive thru area had cars all the way around the circumference of the store - which is, of course, entirely why I had ordered ahead ONE HOUR before coming to pick up my pizza. It's worth pointing out my order was for ONE regular deep dish pepperoni pizza - a standard offering and nothing complicated or that would require special preparation.
Note that they had plenty of pizzas ready and when I complained they immediately brought out a pizza as they did for others who made a fuss - so what the heck was going on for things to be so useless?
