El Sarape — Restaurant in Little River-Academy

First timer here ! A coworker and myself came in for lunch. We were immediately greeted and told we could sit where we would like. The same friendly woman was also our server. She was very attentive and had a infectious smile. I had the lunch special. Which was enchiladas. For $7.99 you can't beat it. My coworker ordered the white wings... Spot on! Cooked perfectly. It's tricky to get that bacon right, But props to the chef, he nailed it. I also thought the table and chairs were a great touch. Came in yesterday afternoon around 6 in the afternoon waitress recommended the white wings me and my husband loved them food was exelent so was the service waitress was very nice and very attentive to our needs and was by herself doing everything she managed everything great only reason I'm giving this place 2 stars is because it was very hot AC apparently was not working. When asked waitress she just apologised and said they been trying to fix it cook came out and tried fixing it... We went here at 9:15 PM because we saw it from the gas station next door. I asked the gas station attendent about it and he said he liked it. They close at 10:00, so were possibly irritated by our late arrival. The service was not friendly. They got us our food and no water refills. The Mexican food was adequate, not great. The kids had hamburgers and they were pretty bad. The didn't even bother taking the paper off of the meat! If I had known this, I would have let them know. If I was a local, I doubt I would go back.
