The “G” Wagon — Restaurant in Little River-Academy

Dropped in here recently because we really love good barbecue and I’d heard rumblings. Turned out to be beyond our expectations! We’ve sampled plenty of food trailer barbecue and been disappointed more often than not. G Wagon did not disappoint! We got a pound of brisket and some beans. The brisket was smoked to perfection with flavor throughout. It was fork tender and looked as good as it smelled and tasted. It was adorned with a nice red smoke ring and was cloaked in a delicious, peppery bark. It looked like barbecue ought to look! We’ve already been back several times and each round was just as good as the first! You definitely want to give The G Wagon a try! I have been wanting to try this place and when I think about it it isn't open. Well this morning I saw their Facebook post that they were open and since I was out already I headed that way. I was so excited to try the bbq . It's a good truck with a covered pavilion. Cute area. Picnic tables . We ordered the 2 of the 3 meat plate. Brisket, sausage, and pork ribs. SIDES MATTER. I tried 3 different items here, loaded potato. Mac n cheese with brisket and 2 meats (brisket & turkey) & 2 sides cheesy potatoes and potato salad. This was almost inedible. The cheese that is used on everything tastes like canned cheese, which is a taste I cant explain. The baked potato was gooped up with it, I could taste meat or the potato. The brisket had no flavor and just crumbled. It had no texture. The potato salad was just cubed potatoes with mayo. This was just the worst 45.00...
