Really sad about writing this, we were huge fans of this restaurant. We ordered about $40 of food and never received it. We gave them a call to see the status of the order, and the woman who answered claimed that it was already delivered. We of course checked outside multiple times, and peaked at neighbors porches to see if it was put at the wrong house, but we didn’t see anything. (Also the order was placed through the BeyondMenu app and in the past we’ve received confirmation texts that the driver is on their way and one was never sent for this order). We tried explaining that we never received the order, but whoever answered the phone at the restaurant kept interrupting and was quite rude. She said she knocked on the door when the order was delivered, but I’ve been sitting downstairs, ever since the order was placed, near the door, and never heard a knock. I also own two dogs and they ALWAYS bark when someone is at the door and they didn’t bark once. She also claimed that when she delivered the food there was a white car out in front of our home (we do not own a white car), and when we told her this she changed her story to “Well I’ve delivered to a lot of places today so I don’t know.” At this point we asked to speak to a manager to hopefully get more info on what happened to the order, and she claimed to also be the manager as well as the delivery driver. Best guess, our order was forgotten or it was taken to the wrong home. If the restaurant would’ve been more helpful or at least been professional, this wouldn’t have been an issue. We understand that mistakes happen, but they offered no refund and did not offer to check to see if the order had been forgotten somewhere in the restaurant. We genuinely really loved this place and we’re super disappointed. We’ll never be ordering...
Read moreI did enjoy this place until recently. A warning: I ordered food from their website ordering system at 5:15. I was sent an email confirmation that my order had been received. At approximately 6:30, I called to check on said order. I was told that they never received the order and that if I wanted the delivery, it would take another hour or so and that the specific ordering system on their website (qmenu) hadn't sent the order to their computer(?). So I chatted with my husband and we decided to reorder through their other ordering system (beyond menu) at around 6:50. At 8:00, they called us and asked us if we still wanted our food. We said we did and that we ordered it about an hour ago. They told us that they just got the order and that it would still be an hour. I pointed out that we had originally ordered from them at 5:15 for food. The response was just a yep, do you still want it? My husband really wanted sushi and this is the only place near us, so we said fine. There were no apologies or even a care in the world that we were now at over 3 hours since we first ordered food directly from their website. We finally got the food at 9pm...almost 4 hours later. I probably would be fine if they acted like they cared at all that this occurred , but it was pretty clear that they didn't and weren't concerned with us in the slightest. So while I think there food is pretty decent and would order from there pretty frequently prior to this, I probably will cease to do so again since I feel that they really don't care if I am a...
Read moreI have visited Sawa Sushi many times. Since moving to Littleton from elsewhere in the Denver metro years ago, it has become my “go-to” sushi destination. The chefs are consistently excellent in their preparation, their presentation and their portions - and, they consistently hit the mark on their recipes with exceptional flavor combinations and superior tasting dishes. The servers are always attentive, polite, courteous and helpful. They all, front and back of house, obviously pay attention to maintaining the strictest hygiene standards and cleanliness. The ambience is always appropriate, pleasant, not too loud or quiet, not too dark or light. The building is older, maybe not as “romantic” due to its former life as a Pizza Hut, but you forget all about that when you dig into your favorite dish. May I suggest a few things to increase your pleasure? Take three people with you and order the Family Boat! You will all leave very satisfied and the price is very reasonable per person for a party of four. Also, you cannot go wrong with their special rolls - the Volcano, Black Dragon and Sex on the Beach rolls are always a big hit with my guests. Their Miso Soup is excellent, their Dynamite appetizer is exactly that - Dynamite! The sashimi is cold and thick, as it should be, generously presented and mouthwateringly delicious. Plan to have a fantastic meal and do not hesitate to get adventurous if you are a novice - everything is amazing! Very pleased with Sawa and it is my wife’s...
