This place is almost great. The servers are friendly and hot. One always appreciates that ;-) The atmosphere, floorplan and decor is delightful. The food falls just short of lovable. I'm an Irishman who grew up eating Irish food made by my grandmother, mother and father. All of whom were off the boat immigrants. Shepherds pieces is never meant to be soupy. Place the ingredients in a bread pan or square bread pan or the like. Top it with mash then put it in the over to bake away the moisture to a non-stop consistency please. The boxty, flavor is spot on. The shaping though seems lazy and results in burnt edges..tighten up those shavings on the edge in and press it a little thinner and you will avoid burnt edges. Shaved corned beef on boxty?? Seems like another lazy shortcut. Typically corned beef and boxty is served with slices of corned beef brisket. Shaved corned beef when, not pressed together as would be in a sandwich, loses flavor. I did enjoy your Danny Green burger though. I had to eat and item that honored that great man.
