I have been here twice to eat since opening. Both in the evening times. The first time was after they had been open for a few weeks, waited for around 30-40 minutes to be seated, but they were super busy- not an open seat in house- I expected to wait. I was excited to try this new restaurant. Once we finally got seated by the host, we were ready to order (we had looked at menus while waiting to be seated, and we're hungry). The host told us she would send out server right over. Server came, threw straws at the table, never smiled, genuinely seemed like she hated her life. No "nice to see you, thank you, anything"...after placing our order, we noticed our server was the ONLY server on the floor actually waiting on customers. There was about 3-4 other girls just hanging out up by the register. No wonder our server looked and acted so miserable. Food was okay once it finally came out after about 45 minutes. Chalked the first experience up to new business jitters and working the kinks out of how to run the show. We have it a few weeks and decided to try it again. We were seated immediately, and already knew what we wanted (big e's taters). We told the hose that seated us we were ready to order and she said, okay I'll go let your server know. Literally we sat for almost an hour with a hungry toddler while tables around us were served and waited on. The table next to us gave my toddler some crackers to munch on cause they noticed what was happening. My husband was ready to leave, when the same table next to us flagged down a girl named Riley and told her we had yet to be served and needed service. AGAIN, there were 3-4 Riley being one of them just hanging out up by the register while one girl (same girl from previous visit) was waiting on all the tables. Riley said, oh okay I'll send their server over. Now why, could that girl not have taken our order? Why, when that one server was busting her butt and the other girls are just laughing, giggling, goofing off by the register?! Once we finally got served, our food was good. But these two experiences have burned us, and we won't be back. The night service definitely needs...
Read moreThis restaurant is probably one of the best restaurants within a 20 mile radius. I've tried a lot in this and surrounding areas and find the flavor to be lacking or just generic. I ordered 2 patty melts,1 with Mac n cheese, 1 with fried taters, and the kids chicken tenders. I wasn't expecting much, to be honest, but was pleasantly suprised. The patty melts were thick and flavorful, not over whelmed with grease, and on texas toast that wasn't soggy with with synthetic butter. The flavor and texture were perfect! Kids chicken tenders were not some pre-frozen, pretty breaded pale yellow cardboard, they were actual cit chicken strip fried to golden brown like my great grandma used to make. Even my picky toddler was saying "mmmmm! Yummy!" The mac n cheese- perfect consistency, the fried green tomatoes were perfectly done and not over/under battered. This place is spot on! Glad I...
Read moreI know they are still working the kinks out and it was Mother’s Day. Most of the food was good. We were 4 people, 3 of us got our orders, my Granddaughter’s food never came but the bill total reflected it. After waiting, we asked and apparently it didn’t get printed to the kitchen. She finally got it after the rest of us decided to eat before our food got cold. My husband’s hamburger steak was just a burger patty with instant mashed potatoes. No gravy on anything. I asked someone about gravy and she said they didn’t have any more gravy. The meat was very hard and dry. Chicken livers and barbecue pork were very good. I will try them again on a not so busy day. I wish them the...
