Firts item we ordered were bacalaitos as an apettizer, they were almost burned. My husband ordered a octapus salad . This was more vegetables than anything, it tastes more like ceviche than salad and it took for ever. When I asked for the menu to order my food the waiter ,Carlos said we didnt a menu because they had a limited menu and he could tell me by mouth. Nothing impresive but we ordered anyways. 3 meats and 3 fish dishes. I ended up ordering filete de mero al ajillo. Horible. My husband ordered a mix seafood salad with only carucho and octapus. To my surprise other customers started arriving and they all got menus. Wben leaving i let Carlos know all he said that does tables that got the menu were not being tended by him. The whole experience was very disappointing....

I rented a Chinchorreo bus to celebrate my birthday with a group of 20. One of the stops was at Villa Pesquera. All the food items ordered were very good. The drinks were good too. The only problem was that the person serving at the bar kept confusing the orders. You would order a meat empanadilla & she would give us a different kind. You would order a Piña Colada, and she would give us Mojitos. We were in the party mood, so we took what she gave us without making a fuzz. (To be clear, our group was spread around & it was not 20 people ordering at the same time.) It would be nice if there was some kind of seating outside where we could enjoy the view without crowding the restaurant. In summary...we all left...

My family had high expectations after seeing the reviews and rating here but were disappointed. We ordered a $50 sampler that was supposed to include 15 empanadas and a variety of other foods - it was a plate of fried misc items that 1000% came from a frozen bag, not a single empanada. Most of the menu items we ordered they didn’t have. Probably because it was almost 6 and they close their kitchen at 6, not 7 as advertised (or at least for today). 2 of our other dishes we ordered chicken and he brought octopus and just said “it’s fine” when I brought it up. Also all of fish dishes were covered in a creamy sauce that was not fresh and ruined the fish. They didn’t even have any local beers....

Hands down best food I’ve ever eaten in Puerto Rico in my many trips here and maybe the best seafood I’ve ever had in over 45 countries I’ve visited. If you ever have the chance to visit this ocean front gem in PR you won’t be disappointed for sure. You have to try the coconut seafood with rice that’s served in a coconut, the seafood salad with conch, octopus and shrimp, the amazing whole fried snapper, and they even have amazing chicharrón de pollo for non seafood lovers. I am staying at the St. Regis 5 star resort with great restaurants but made villa Herrera my new go to spot for lunch and dinner. Closes at 6 so make sure to make it on time you won’t want to miss this place.

One of our favourite places so far, the food is fantastic, we had the camarones endiablados and the seafood rice with mofongo, everything extremely tasty! The location is absolutely breathtaking right on a beautiful beach where the Herrera river meets the ocean. Our server was a younger lady that was super nice, the other servers were not so much, not mean, but not a lot of smiles either, that’s the only feedback I would give but a fantastic place to dine!
