Badger Den — Restaurant in Lodi

My husband & I stopped in for an early dinner. We thought we would try some bar burgers. Then the waitress came to the table & asked if we came in for the steak special? We did not even see steak on the menu (still handing out 43 Norths menu) We said we'll what are they? They had 2 different cuts of prime rib & they had a ribeye steak with roasted potatoes & cheesecake for dessert. We both ordered the ribeye special for $24.99 & it was sooo worth it. Great meal with quick service. We told her when we ordered that we would take the cheesecake to go. The only thing missing was a salad. That would of made it the perfect meal. It still was pretty darn close to perfect. We will definitely be returning. So happy that they opened downtown & with more than just bar food. Waited over 2 hours for our food. Server blamed kitchen staff but after she took and tossed my side of cheese curds without asking, I doubt she was blameless. Glad I paid the $2.50 up charge for no reason. I think our party’s food was given to another table who were similarly upset. Meals also arrived at wildly different times. We got two free side dishes for the table but only after ~90mins of waiting. Might have been easier to handle if they arrived sooner but overall I cannot...

Food and drink were tasty enough. I gave four starts because they now charge a $3 upgrade for a baked potato with the fish fry, rather than regular fries. We go to lots of fish fries and I've not seen that. The only reason we went to Badger Den and not the place across the street was because the online menu showed a baked potato with fish fry. The wait person seemed embarrassed to tell us about the upcharge. There are other places in Lodi to go to for fish fry and I'll be going...
