We’ve tried so many sushi spots, but always seem to find our way back here 😆🥰👌🏼🍣 one of the best sushi spots for sure! Komachi Sushi is a Japanese bistro with an extensive menu with lots of classics and unique rolls as well as other delicious dishes! Their food is absolutely amazing and the customer service is excellent! Everyone here is super nice and very helpful! It was right here 5 years ago when one of the managers taught us how to properly enjoy a sushi roll with wasabi and soy sauce that doesn’t make the wasabi overpower other flavors! 😅💚🍣🍱 There are 64 different types of rolls but none of them taste the same! You always gonna come here and order something new or if you’re like us, you’ll find that one perfect roll and order it again and again! 😆🍱🍣🥰 Here are what we got: 🌶️ Jalapeño Bomb - $11.95 🥘 Curry Udon - $17.95 🐯 Tiger Roll - $14.95 🐲 Flaming Dragon - $19.5 🌟 Golden Philadelphia - $9.95 Here you pay for what you get and it’s 💯% worth it! 👌🏼🥰🫶🏻🍣 . . . . . #sushi #dragonroll #flamingdragons #dragonrollsushi #sushiroll #sushirolls #udon #curryudon #udonnoodles #foodie #saceatsgood #sacfoodie #jalapeno #jalapenobomb #jalapenopoppers #lodi #sanjoaquín #lodifoodie #sushilovers #midnightroll #sushitime #datenight #dateideas #komachi #sacramento #sacramentofood #sushidate #lodica #sacramentofoodie #lodicalifornia #lodifoodie #stockton

Was in Lodi for business, and just wanted to find someplace to eat. This intrigued me at first glance, so we decided to go here to try it out. Man, did we ever felt glad we chose this spot! Let's start with the important stuff: the food. We ordered croquettes and the sake negima(?) salmon sashimi for appetizers, the bento box and the Code.3 sushi roll for the main entrée, with a last minute choice of Today's Special Catch of the Day nigiri. What can I say aside from *chef's kisses*?! The croquettes was nicely thicc and creamy, like a real croquette instead of just fried potato in the form of croquettes. 😍 The salmon sashimi was so fresh and flavourful, it was like a wave of enjoyment with each bite! For the bento box, the included miso soup was made using what I believe is yellow or red miso, not white miso that's usually used, which gave the soup a much deeper flavor, and a different kind of umami that one normally doesn't have or associates with miso soup. It's still delicious, but I think I prefer white miso soup. The meat, though. That's something else. For the main entrées of the bento box, we went with sesame chicken, teriyaki beef, and teriyaki salmon. The meat was actually cut all the way through, and almost melts in your mouth. The salmon was cooked to perfection, and the sauce wasn't overly done so we weren't getting just sauce with some meat. The sauce was actually being an enhancement to the meat. 👌🏻 The Code.3 sushi roll was like a party in my mouth! 😍 The flavors just blended so well together, and ironically paired well with the mango lemonade I chose for my drink. The little lobster salad next to the roll really helped to bring out the flavors of the roll out as I'm eating the roll and the lobster salad one after the other. Then finally, the chef's catch of the day special. We think we mistakenly ate it in the wrong order for our preferences, because it started with strong flavor and ended with a light flavor (pink to white nigiri), but it still turned out so well regardless. It was just so delicious! Lastly, the staff was so helpful and attentive, and you can feel the staff wants to be there. That's getting pretty rare these days! We love it when we're consistently asked if we want refills or if everything is doing good so far, since it shows the staff want us to have a good experience with them! It was really icing on the cake when we got to meet the owner when our main entrées came out! I believe her name was Sunny? It's pretty rare when an owner of an establishment can recognize at a glance whether you've been there before or not! We've learned a great deal about Japanese cuisine because of her passion for food. ❤️ We'll definitely come back again! 😊

Sushi Komachi is one of those rare hidden gems that once you find it, you never want to go anywhere else. Tucked away in a quiet spot in Lodi with plenty of easy parking, this cozy, family-run restaurant delivers some of the best sushi experiences you’ll find in the Central Valley. What really sets Sushi Komachi apart are the specials. If you’re lucky enough to get the fish cheeks when you ask—do not skip them. They’re tender, flavorful, and served with a soy sauce vinaigrette that absolutely elevates the dish. It’s one of those bites that stops you mid-conversation because it’s just that good. They sell out of this so go early. The rolls here are consistently fresh, well-crafted, and full of flavor. Favorites like the Spider Roll (soft shell crab done right) and the California Roll are staples, but they also have a fantastic lineup of specialty rolls that deserve attention. Some highlights include: The Komachi Roll – a house favorite that balances spicy and savory perfectly. The Lion King – baked to perfection with a rich, creamy finish. The Lodi Roll – a local twist that showcases their creativity with textures and sauces. You can tell everything is made with care—from the rice to the way each dish is plated. It's clear the chefs here take pride in what they serve. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, perfect for a casual lunch or a relaxed dinner. It’s a smaller spot, which adds to the charm, and the service is always friendly and attentive. Whether you’re a sushi aficionado or just dipping your toes into Japanese cuisine, Sushi Komachi makes everyone feel at home. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to become a regular. Great food, great people, and a menu that keeps you coming...

This restaurant is family owned and managed. The owner's are very polite and friendly to everyone. This is an easy location to go to and parking is plenty. Often there is a small line to get in but the wait is not too long and it well worth it. You can tell that most people there have been there many times before and they are enjoying themselves. The atmosphere is what makes this place great.

We ordered our food and we got our hands full. The owner decided to dump the menu on us and I was ready for the challenge. We had several sushi dishes and sashimi along with meat and other vegetarian creations. All I can say is at this time all others have this place to follow. There is always plenty of room for competition, however, you better bring your "A" game because you need to know that its the experience of knowing how to run a Japanese restaurant that counts and how to put together a well-balanced menu. You will not be disappointed in the menu or the beverages selection. This is Lodi after all and wines are plenty...
