✨Sunday Spotlight ✨ Hocking Hills Diner 📍 Hocking Hills, Logan, Ohio If you’re in the Hocking Hills and looking for the perfect diner food, look no further than Hocking Hills Diner! We both enjoyed our homestyle meals and there was so much to choose from. Be sure to stop into their new donut shop to grab a yummy donut with a speciality coffee! #bradygrouprealestate #yourrealestatefamily #thebradygroup #hockinghillsstatepark #hockingcounty #hockinghills #sundayspotlight #shoplocal #supportlocal #diner #donutshop #restaurant

I don't know why in the world that we have not stopped at this diner in the times that we have been to Logan. We were floored at how excellent the food and service were. YUM!!!! Those pretzel bites are AMAZING. I had the BLT with fries and Jared had Eggs, hashbrowns, sausage and bacon. Everything was absolutely delicious and I even had a sugar cookie and we are right now on our way back to get more. The variety of food was unexpected. You can order breakfast and lunch or dinner anytime of the day. We will definitely be eating here everytime we are passing through. I highly recommend it. 1-3-20 - Well this makes our 4th trip to this diner in just a little over a month. Logan is about an hour and 10 minutes away from where we are from. Their Pretzel Bites are soooo good. I prefer the Nacho cheese with them. The past 2 visits, I have got the sirloin steak well done with curly fries YUM!!! Also both times took home a dozen Sugar Cookies. We brought my boyfriend's son this last time and he got Chicken strips and curly fries. He loved everything too. The atmosphere here is so inviting and the service is Excellent. It has been excellent all 4 times and we have had a different server each time. To be honest, this is my favorite place to eat now. I wish it were closer but that just gives us a reason to take a small road trip. Something good will always come out of it. I took a couple of pictures of their darling snowmen 😊 Oh and they serve breakfast all day. My boyfriend loves breakfast and loves the spread here. I do not care for breakfast food. So if you are in the same situation, just know that they serve breakfast, lunch and dinner food all day.

Have been coming here for years, food is always great and service is top notch as well! Can be a little bit pricey (we just spent $65 on 3 people after tip) but if you’re staying in the Hocking Hills, this is most definitely one of the better eats you need to hit before you leave. Good place to go for singles, couples, and families. Atmosphere is homey and very ‘countryside’. Staff is always friendly and willing to make changes for you or fix mistakes. Bathrooms and seats/tables have always been clean every time I’ve gone. Options of eating inside or outside, and they also have a dessert case with rotating options, all of which are good. Plenty of parking available as well, which is a huge plus considering how busy they can get. They also sell coffee flavoring syrups! Torani and Monin! Was so happy to find some butter pecan during my last visit. Pictured are Hillbilly Omelet, Cheese Omelet, Suzi’s Scrambler, and Pumpkin Pancakes (seasonal special). I highly recommend the Hillbilly Omelet and Cinnamon Roll Pancakes. You can’t go wrong!

I know people don’t go to restaurants hoping they have problems, but if you have any issues with your time or orders here do not anticipate any recovery and expect to be threatened and harassed. I feel bad for anyone that works at the diner and having to be trained under the poor management skills of Suzie. Let me list the reasons: 1- while we were there, apparently the water main broke. We were not alerted of this until we were leaving after having not been served after over an hour. No one was letting tables know there was going to be a longer wait. Especially not Suzie. 2-when we were leaving, we were still charged for our soda, not a huge deal, but if we’ve waited over an hour for our food and still not served a soda can be comped. 3-this is when Suzie finally appeared to make her list of excuses, but no apologizes. This is when we learned the water main went out and that they had a dish washer call off so they only had three people in the kitchen. 4-still instead of apologizing, she wanted us to feel bad for her and let us know how long she has been working in the industry, like that was supposed to make us feel better about her terrible customer service skills. I am personally embarrassed that anyone who has worked in any service industry for more than a year would elect to behave so poorly.. .

5- we were not given the opportunity to try any food and instead of being hospitable in any sense. We were harassed and threatened. No worries Suzie. We will not be back.

Things that could have went better. Being told how long the wait was going to be. Maybe, not continuing to seat tables when a water main was broken. We also found it crazy that their water main broke today too, when there was another small group of restaurants whose water main was broken, however all of those restaurants were very upfront with us and made us fully aware of their situation..

My response to the "owners" comment 11/9/20

Its still all excuses. Maybe you shouldn't have a 15 year old as a hostess on a slammed night. We were there for well over an hour. I think that is more than enough time for an apology. The table next to us was seated and ordered before we arrived and still waited an hour. I don't know what slammed means to you. But empty tables is not a slammed restaurant. As an owner you should learn how to cross utilize your staff and understand what they can handle. Its poor management on your part. Rest assure the family that suggested your restaurant is well aware of how we were treated tonight and I am sure they will share our experience with others when your restaurant comes up. I appreciate your continued professionalism. And you can sleep well knowing that I will never return to your...

Headline is food was decent so if you have the time to wait for it......then try it out. We waited 45 min for eggs and a pancake. Our service was poor, and the explanation we got from Suzi (mgr) was deflecting away from the server not being transparent from the start. “Two large groups were ahead of you and they got theirs made first. If you want faster meals you have to order the special on a Sunday because it’s prepared and sitting on the steam table”. Maybe there are different cooks that serve the special? If you are in a hurry you have to order the special because that comes out before off the menu orders as we found out as a party of 7 that ordered 15 min after us received theirs 10 min before our 2 breakfast orders arrived. Lesson to HHD- train transparency to your servers. Give full disclosure to your table that you work for tips with the expectations of their orders. Be keenly aware at any time how long your tables will be waiting for food. “Sorry for the wait, it will be __min as the kitchen is backed up”. Or better yet actually show up and be visible so we can ask you directly instead of asking the hostess. She then ignored us maybe because we talked to the mgr? Oh yeah, we asked three times in the span of 5 min for the check. Didn’t get it so we walked up to the register ourselves where it was sitting- so she either doubled down on ignoring us or that is how this place does it; either way we felt like the experience was not worth the...
