Bullshippers Cafe — Restaurant in Logansport

Recsntly my husband and I tried to stop here for dinner. We had been traveling for 2 1/2 hours and wanted to get something to eat before we went to our hotel. Since we weren’t from the area I turned to the internet to guide us where to go. Your place had many reviews so we thought we would give it a try. My eye sight isn’t what it used to be and I thought it said you closed at 9, we arrived a few minutes before 8. We walk in tired and hungry, thinking we had plenty of time to eat. As we entered we thought we heard someone say you have to be (beep) kidding me. My husband turned around and asked what time they close. There were a few employees standing around and they said 8. We quickly apologized and said we thought they closed at 9. Had we realized they closed at 8 we wouldn’t of bothered going in that close to 8. One lady did offer for us to stay and we declined, she even opened the door and asked again. Our suggestion would be that if you are open till 8 please make people feel welcome not an inconvenience. My husband and I decided to eat here for breakfast instead of Bob Evans and the other options in town bc of the high ratings. We were so glad we did. The atmosphere is just what we expected. We came in for breakfast and then couldn't decide if maybe we wanted lunch bc the lunch special looked so good. My husband got the everything omelette and the cook made bacon pancakes per my request. It was DELICIOUS! My husband ate all of the omeltte and two pieces of toast. I couldn't eat all of the pancakes but took the rest to go. We also ordered the beef and noodles with mashed potatoes to go to eat later tonight for dinner! Great Service, Nice Staff. The owner was there making sure things were going smoothly. Here on busy Friday and still received food very quickly. Faster than most fast food places. We did all order the "all you can eat" fish. I'm from Florida so I know fish and this is probably the best fried fish I've ever eaten. I also think the cole slaw is as good as it get. Sweet potato was baked to perfection. The server, Leeann, was awesome. I would recommend this place to anyone. If you don't like fish, there is an excellent choice of other items on the menu. Also read rest of reviews. When you have this many great reviews and only a few negative it's probably safe to say the bad reviews came from a rude drunk or someone that has it in for someone that works there.
