West Side Diner — Restaurant in Logansport

This used to be our go to for decent dining in logansport. It has slipped majorly over the last year or so. We moved out of town so now we only dine here when we are visiting with family. The time before last I ended up with hair in my ribeye sandwich and my wife's salad was incorrect. We waited quite some time and family talked us into trying again. I went ahead and tried for the prime rib again and my wife for the chicken salad this time. My prime rib was clearly over cooked. The Mac and cheese tasted like it was left overs from the day before and was stuck in the shape of the scoop they used to serve it. The mac and cheese was also warm at best plus didn't even get served until I reminded the lady I was supposed to get it. My wife's salad this time came with a rotten egg. They took the salad back then took 15 min to get a new one out to her. I don't eat without her so by the time they replaced it, all of my food was cold. This is the second time they screwed up my order. It was from the guy take in the orders. The older gentleman, he cannot understand English and he writes down whatever he thinks you said. And that's what you get, and then if it's wrong, they go and mix it, so they don't waste anything. For example brown sugar Toro tea he made brown sugar honey and I do not like honey in my tea . So instead of , yeah, we made mistake.Let's make you fresh toro tea, they tried to be slick and mix the 2 together and then pour it into the cups into the same cup and when I confront her she looks so stunned that I call her out. and still refuse. I have eaten here so many times over the years, they used to be my favorite place to go. But the last year or so I've had so many bad experiences and I always say I'm not gonna go back but today I am for sure not going back. The only reason I didn't just walk out was because my waitress was so sweet and so wonderful and I did not get her name and I wish I had so I could thank her again. I ordered the bluegill I got four little pieces of bluegill that were deep-fried to the point of being so greasy I had to take them off of my plate and put them on a napkin and then put another napkin on my plate to lay them back on it to soak up the grease.
