I came into the 67 Dine one late afternoon, drawn in by the faint chatter of people and the promise of something comforting after a long day. The moment I stepped through the door, the smell of sweet mustard immediately hit me—sharp yet mellow, tangy but not overwhelming. It was the kind of aroma that clings to the air, making you instinctively imagine warm sandwiches, glazed meats, or freshly grilled sausages. It wrapped itself around me like a memory, reminding me of picnics and summer afternoons even though I was standing in the middle of a bustling little diner.
The place had a charm of its own. Its walls carried a muted retro style, framed photographs of the town in black and white, and a quiet hum of an old jukebox in the corner. The tables were neatly set, each with small jars of mustard and ketchup waiting to be used. Despite the steady stream of customers, the room felt welcoming rather than crowded, as though everyone had come here not just to eat but to pause and enjoy.
As I moved further in, I noticed something unusual on the counter: fresh mangoes. Their golden skins glistened under the soft light, stacked in bowls that looked almost too pretty to touch. The sweet fragrance of the fruit cut through the mustard in the air, balancing tang with tropical brightness. A cheerful server mentioned they were offering mangoes as a seasonal treat—sliced, blended into shakes, or served alongside desserts.
I couldn’t help but smile. There was something both surprising and delightful about that combination: the sharpness of mustard greeting me at the door and the lush sweetness of mango waiting at the table. It felt like the 67 Dine had found a way to turn an ordinary visit into a small but...
Read moreThree of us were at Diner 67 recently. Two of us ordered a waffle with bananas & pecans & sausage links, & one ordered a plain waffle with 4 very small half slices of thin bacon, one ordered a rise & shine breakfast which came with a waffle, 2 eggs, meat, toast. When 2 of us were served our waffles, we KNEW they were smaller than we had before on a smaller plate!! EACH WAFFLE WAS $10.12!!! OUTRAGEOUS PRICE FOR 1 WAFFLE!!! Person who had banana pecan waffle cost $10.62 for ONE WAFFLE!!! Person who had Rise & Shine breakfast with 2 eggs, waffle, meat and toast was the SAME COST AS OUR 1 WAFFLE EACH...$10.12!!! The 1st time we ate at Diner 67 I ordered a waffle, it was BIG!!! And 1/2 the cost!! This place has RAISED THEIR PRICES AND HAVE MADE THEIR BREAKFAST CHOICES SMALLER!!! OUR BILL FOR 3 OF US WAS $43.06 WITHOUT THE TIP!!! We were certainly stunned to pay $10.12 for ONE WAFFLE, PLUS THE 1/2 THIN 4 SMALL PIECES OF BACON OR SAUSAGE LINKS WERE $4.99 EXTRA!!! IF THE OWNERS KEEP RAISING THEIR PRICES AND CUT THE AMOUNT & SIZE OF BREAKFAST CHOICES, THEY WILL LOSE BUSINESS!! RESTAURANT OWNERS CAN'T KEEP GOUGING CUSTOMERS BY RAISING THEIR PRICES & MAKING MEALS SMALLER!! 1 PERSON ORDERED 2 EGGS MEDIUM, EGGS WERE SERVED WITH...
Read moreI have never posted a bad review on any place before, however this was just uncalled for. I went to Susie's with my boyfriend last night. We arrived at 8 and they close at 8:30. Our waitress was very rude and never once came to our table to check on us. Glasses were empty and he ordered the all you can eat fish... well she never came to check to see if he wanted more fish. When she finally came by with our check, I politely asked if there was a price difference if we just got a three piece dinner, since she never came over for him to get more fish. Instead of apologizing, she rudely said it would have been the same price either way. I understand it was close to closing time and she needed to clean up, but there was no reason to ignore the one table you had. There was another waitress who had a table as well, and she was very friendly toward them and checked on them many times. It only takes one bad expierence to lose customers and after this I'm sorry to say I will not be going back. Food was always delicious, but service is very important too and her attitude...
