We made a reservation here on a whim for my girlfriend's birthday as we were staying in Londonderry for the week, and we were absolutely thrilled to have found such a gem. The location, staff, and menu are true examples of excellence without pretention. It is clear that there is careful attention to every detail the patron partakes in, the staff were so lovely and informative, one of them even makes some of the gorgeous pottery presented in the dining room. We started with an oyster each, the house made sourdough rye, then continued with two more small plates and two entrees and a shared dessert, which the host presented with a birthday candle very sweetly. If all we had were oysters and that bread and butter all night, I think we would be satisfied, but everything we had was wonderfully unique and balanced, bursting with flavors and quite simply gorgeous to look at. We each had a cocktail with dinner and I had another with dessert, they were all developed by the bartender on staff and some of the best drinks we've had. The menu changes monthly/seasonally, and even though we live far out of state we are already planning another trip to the area next year to come here again. Thank you for the wonderful experience!

I am not exaggerating by saying that this is my all-time favorite restaurant. There are absolutely no details that are overlooked during the preparation, presentation, and service of the SoLo's food creations. We savored every single bite - from the home made butter and freshly baked rolls - to complex entrées and scrumptious desserts. Where else have you had your carefully selected fresh oysters served with a fried-onion granita that you could simply eat with a spoon? Bacon-wrapped rabbit loin served on celeriac coffee-infused logs, accompanied by celery puree - "clogs" was not only one of the most tender and flavorful dishes, but also looked like an art work piece. Their homemade cucumber-habanero-mint sorbet seemed to have been designed by someone who could precisely time the flavor release of each ingredient in one's mouth....nothing short of amazing! A dinner at SoLo's is a MUST for anyone who can appreciate the state-of-the-art food. Bravo!!!

This is not a place you would find by chance; you would drive right past this unassuming house built in the late 1700s. But make it your destination, and an excellent dinner awaits. The interior is charming, the staff friendly and ready to give excellent service. So my wife and I shared the sourdough rye bread and a bowl of the baked potato soup. This is an elevated potato soup, with trout roe, smoked bacon, and scallions. It's almost a meal. For the main, I enjoyed the pork ramen, which was an explosion of flavor, (and gets a "yum"), while my wife went with the rigatoni, also top notch. After my usual starting cocktail, I ordered the pairing cabernet, most enjoyable. The atmosphere was conversational with sprinkled laughter. Not to be missed if you are in the South Londonderry area.

Truly a special place. Charming atmosphere, standout food, an impressively selected wine list, and most importantly – lovely people. We have been lucky enough to dine at SoLo through a few different phases – when the restaurant was first fully open, during COVID through impressively prepared takeout, and now with the curated chef’s tasting menus. No matter the setting, the food is always deliciously prepared from local ingredients and impeccably presented. We also love interacting with the people who make SoLo such a special place – they always make you feel welcome and appreciated. In fact, because of this, when the time came for my husband and I to have a small, intimate wedding, there was no doubt in our mind that SoLo was the place for us! Chloe, Wes and the team were such a joy to work with, and made our evening (from cocktails, to dancing, to a wine and food pairing) so special, and a night my family will treasure forever. Their attention to detail is unmatched – especially when it came to caring for one of our guest’s allergies as well as timing for each course. We feel lucky and grateful to have had this experience at SoLo – and know you’ll feel the same way...

Visit #1 June 2025 Exquesite in every aspect, only the experience can do it justice, words alone would be an insult. We live 3 hours away and made reservations again for next month. Owners, Chefs, and staff everywhere should all aim for the SoLo standard and execution. Simply amazing! Updating my initial review after Visit #2 (July 2025) and of course it was just as great! We brought one of our daughters and friend so that they could experience this culinary gem and they were just as impressed. We had booked another AirBnb just to make the trip back because the oyster ice, sourdough, and salad greens alone are worth it, nevermind the outstanding selection of rotating incredible apps and entres. But it is just so much more than that, it is the how this "family", and facility delivers their craft. We can not wait to come back with our sons in a few weeks and are looking forward to our blended family's first ski season together in the area. Honestly, finding SoLo played an important role in us deciding to settle on this area vs others to now spend our weekends away from home together. Thank...
