Bella's Pizzeria — Restaurant in Long Branch

The subs are some of the best around here. I give 4 stars for the subs and 4 stars on service because of the nice lady at the register, but overall I am giving you 3 stars because of the following negative experience that simply left a bad taste in my mouth -

We spent between 60-70 $'s on subs and paid right away. We totally forgot about spinning the wheel before we paid because as long as you spend 30$ or more, you can spin the wheel on the wall and have the chance to win something for free or get a discount on your order. So we spin the wheel and it lands on 5% discount off order. The girl at the register says we could spin the wheel again since we had already paid. So we spin a 2nd time and we win a free bag of large potato chips which are usually $2.25. (Technically it's a medium size bag) About a minute later, the spanish guy making the pizzas who I assume is the manager asks the girl at the register (in spanish) why she let us spin twice on the wheel. So the girl explains that we had already paid and when we spun the wheel it landed on 5% discount off order. So she let us spin again and we then won a free bag of chips. This guy really gave ger a hard time about this in spanish. Little do they know that I am spanish and could understand every word they were saying. This guy really complained about her letting us spin a 2nd time after we had just spent 60-70$ on several whole subs. In hindsight, I should have said something to the "manager" but my wife told me to let it go as I was visibly heated in the moment. So I am leaving this review instead as I couldn't believe he had done that.

I'm disappointed in you Bellas pizza as I have been a long time customer of your establishment. Don't assume that someone doesn't understand spanish and then have the conversation in front of me complaining that we got to spin twice and won a $2.25 bag of chips after we just spent 70$. It's rude, arrogant, disrespectful and very unprofessional and it makes me think twice about giving you my business again. I have spent hundreds, thousands of $'s here over since the early 2000's. The girl at the counter had done the right thing by letting us spin a 2nd time and you (the guy making the pizzas) ruined that awesome gesture by complaining about us spinning a 2nd time and winning a free bag of chips. That doesn't even make sense. Do better and treat your customers with respect. Pull the girl to the side and have the conversation in private if that bothered you that much, not in...

25 years of great food freindly faces in there ..if its not on the menu and they can make it without hesitation they will with a smile. I certainly wouldnt have asked on a busy Friday night middle of rush hour either ...so dont read this and put them to a test either.

Recently a family member got sick ...diet changes a key factor now have to deal with a long life term long problem . Not only were they glad to help I was shocked with the extraordinary compassion shown...no dairy no soy no gluten no acids ....thats 90% of food in the world weird stuff included. ........as long as im in Jersey this is my place to go.. We were looking for a spot for a post beach pie and stumbled upon Bella’s. I called in a large plain and large vegetable (garden) pie, which took about 25 minutes. The place was closing and we were going to grab our pies to eat outside, but the staff was kind enough to put some tables and chairs together to let us have our pies in the restaurant. Both pies were delicious! The cheese was a lovely thin crust with a tangy sauce, and the garden was brimming with fresh vegetables. We will be making this place our regular stop for...
