I'm only giving this restaurant 1 star for a few different reasons. So here goes... I'll start with the good. Yes the food was very good. However we asked for (non spicy) kung Pao (they said it could be made that way for my daughter). When we received her dish it was EXTREMELY spicy and had sliced Jalapeno in it. My dad ordered the triple decker sandwich dry with 2 sides of ranch and it came with the Aioli on the sandwich and zero sides of ranch. I myself ordered a virgin bloody Mary with a shot on the side. Moments later the waitress came back and said the bartender was "on a role" as she put it and accidentally put the liquor in my drink and asked if I'd just drink it that way. My daughter just shared others food, my dad delt with the sandwich made wrong and I drank my drink fast cause I prefer it without the alcohol. The icing on the cake was when they refused to comp any of the meal or give a small discount. Simply saying "we gave you the best customer service we could". Now if you've read this far let's just go ahead and add a couple cherries to the top of this so called cake...I found out by a couple people at my table that not only did they prepare my drink wrong but they also gave it to another table and after the other table made them aware they hadn't ordered 2 bloody Mary's the worker picked it up from that table and delivered it to my table. Last but most definitely not least (after learning of that last cherry) I called and spoke to the woman who is supposed to be the manager and expressed my fustration with everything and requested compensation for everything. I was told no and hung up on then after I called back I was told to go ahead and file complaints and that she wished I would call the BBB, Liquor Control Board, Attorney General. So here I am making the complaints and filing with all said entities just as she wished. All I wanted was a sincere apology and our money back after all the wrong doings but was basically told to go fly a kite (to...
Read moreWorst place I have tried to place an order ever. As I walked in, it was looking like it was slow (at least on the restaurant side). A gentleman by the name of Joe (presumably the owner) was sitting at the bar, and motioned me to sit at the bar while looking at their menu. Since there are severe food allergies in our family, I asked the waitress about the type of vegetables were in the Szechuan Chicken. She didn't know, but Joe let us know that there were all kinds of veggies and that they could just omit the cabbage. As I tried to place my order, food was put out to be served, and Joe barked at the waitress (who was assisting me) to take the food. She apologized and went to serve the food. I finished placing the order, to have her come back to me to tell me what if the cabbage gets omitted form the Szechuan chicken, there will only be meat as it does not come with any other vegetables. So, we started over. I still had questions, as I will wanted a chicken dish, spicy and without cabbage. As the waitress continued trying to help me despite not knowing what ingredients are in any dish, Joe barked continuously at her if there was food to go to the bar or new customers came in. He was the reason that I ended up leaving this place without placing an order as I lost my patience after 25 minutes. Went to a different place in town, and walked out with my Szechuan chicken without cabbage and it was delicious. I just hope that the waitress (and any other staff he treats like this) either is gonna stand up for herself or find another job. I understand the cultural differences, but this man needs to stay far away from the restaurant so the staff can do their job. I will never set foot into this...
Read moreMy family and I are from out of town. We were staying the weekend in Kelso with family. They took us here on a Saturday night. It was a slow nite. At first everything was going okay. Then it wasn't. The server was very short, snappy and rude. Asking for hot sauce seemed like it was a task too big for her to do. At one point there was a loud argument that started because an older man "Joe"? wanted to bring us silverware that he saw we needed when he served my son his burger and fries. The server was adamant that she gave us the silverware and was yelling at him and was threatening to leave, then the other server, Joe's daughter, Asian lady started in on him as well. Mind you Joe is probably in his 80's. It was so sad to hear, see and made the dining experience super awkward and uncomfortable....the server later found out she didn't give us all the silverware we needed when my aunt asked for a fork. Did she apologize NOPE. Not to Joe or us NOPE! Seriously her attitude was so awful asking for anything was like napkins or water was reciprocated with a snarky remark/attitude. She later got upset that Joe again when he gave us plastic bags to put our to-go-boxes in. She had given us some already but Joe didn't now see them behind the stack of plates. It's not a big deal simply put the other bags back for the next customer. The food was okay and the portions were huge for the cost. I however would never go back other than to give that poor old man a hug and to tell him he's appreciated. So sad to see any type of elder abuse....
