Update: After today we probably won't be back. We ordered the dish we always order straight from the menu, which states that the "egg, etc. above are served w/choice of diced or shredded potatoes & toast or pancakes or fruit." Our order, as always, was two eggs, shredded potatoes, and a pancake. A different server brought us our order that had no shredded potatoes but did have 3 pancakes instead of the normal one pancake. We explained the error to the server who brought our food. She corrected it to the cook. The server that took our order brought the shredded potatoes and loudly berated us, claiming that is not what was on the menu and she was a manager and had been there 33 years and it had never been that way. Honestly, we don't have a problem with toast instead of pancakes but to be loudly berated because she screwed up our order was terrible. She then left our table to wait on others and then came back and berated us again. This behavior continued until we were nearly finished with our food. So I asked for a menu. She brought it and pointed out where we ordered. She grabbed the menu out of my hand and loudly said we were wrong, that the & meant "or" and we could only have toast unless we also ordered meat. As we left, she was telling, quite loudly (I could hear her from the bathroom) that they would all meet on the weekend because that is the only time they would all be there and tell all the servers to stop serving the dish that way. I have never been treated so terribly as a customer in my life. Our previous rating is below and got a 5 star.....sad what one awful employee can do for a business. I posted a picture of the menu with the item circled but it keeps disappearing.
Previous rating: Being new to the area, we have been looking for a new breakfast place. In this search, we have tried many places. We found it here! Great food, awesome staff (Tina Marie was our excellent server. A large guy with nice eyes who seated us was also great!), and reasonable prices! The coffee is the best we have had in a restaurant in a very long time! We...

Inattentive and overworked waitress barely got our order taken after barely greeting us, but did pour us Military grade coffee - barely drinkable. Apparently lipstick on mugs is their jam because the second mug I got was even more gross with something nasty all the over the outside like it was pulled from the dirty bin. Had to get our own. She forgot the juice as well for our son.
Our order came out totally wrong. The right order was brought out without too much of a wait, but nothing was offered to be removed from the tab.
The bacon was barely warm, super greasy, and just overall disappointing. The scrambled eggs were possibly fake - definitely military grade so if that's the experience you're wanting, this is your place!
The chicken nuggets were surprisingly ok, but the chicken stripS (plural) is what we ordered. ONE strip came out after having to ask for the meal we ordered. They do know how to make a chicken strip, but the fries were inedible. I love fries. All kinds of fries. Not picky. They were soaked in grease, cold, and didn't taste good at all.
Moving onto the breakfast burrito. You know when you're craving something and then it is a collassal disappointment? That was this. It was one of the most flavorLESS sausage breakfast burritos I've ever consumed and the likely jarred tiny cup of picante they call salsa barely helped me choke it down.
I'm just trying to be honest here, folks. This was a mistake going here. I'm really hoping I don't get sick from eating here or get a cold sore (too honest?). The locals all seemed to enjoy this spot and were given a lot more attention.
The early 90s country music, a clean restroom, and the server apologizing at the end for being overworked and making sure we know restaurant work is hard (I've been a server for years) made paying $42 for a very sad breakfast a little less painful. One last thing, don't bother asking for a military discount. They don't honor...
Read moreFirst and foremost, I feel that this restaurant caters to the locals. I didn’t get that warm and friendly feeling when I was there. However, the regulars that do go there get treated way differently but that is to be expected (First name basis). The food was okay, it wasn’t anything to write home to. The portions was alright— I didn’t leave hungry but I wasn’t overwhelmed of how big the portion were. The establishment was cleaned, but I didn’t use the restroom facilities. The service was adequate although, it would have been nice if I was asked how I was doing and if I needed anything else? To be honest with you I was expecting the old style truck stop diners— big truck driver portions that’ll make you leaving you stuff to the gills. Would I return? Probably not! Was I disappointed— not really! I do enjoy going to different small towns and eating at their local diners and it’s amazing that at some of those places how they welcome the outsiders.. AND WHAT STILL LEAVES ME SCRATCHING MY HEAD — I told the waitress; who was cashing me out to leave a ten dollar tip on my bill and she put down four dollars—- Does she not want my money (lol)? What’s really bad is that she wasn’t the waitress who waited on me. And the only language I speak is English (😩- oh well). On to...
