The Jackrabbit Dairy Bar in Lonoke is an absolute treasure. First of all — bring cash. That’s right, it’s cash only, like your grandma’s garage sale. No cards, no tap-to-pay, no fancy phone scanning — just good old paper money. But honestly, that’s part of the charm. Now let’s get serious: the cheese dip. I don’t know what kind of magic they put in it, but it’s basically liquid gold. Smooth, creamy, perfectly seasoned — it clings to the fries like it was born to. I’d happily eat a bowl of it with a spoon and call it dinner. Honestly, if they sold it by the gallon, I’d clear out my fridge to make space. It’s that good. Of course, the burgers are fantastic — juicy, cooked just right, and piled high with all the fixings. The fries are crispy and perfect for dunking (again: cheese dip, people!). And the milkshakes are so thick you’ll feel like you're getting a full arm workout trying to get that first sip through the straw. The staff is friendly, fast, and always has a smile, even when the line wraps around the building. The whole place has that small-town, everybody-knows-your-name kind of vibe that makes every visit feel like a treat. If you’re in Lonoke and you haven’t been to the Jackrabbit Dairy Bar, you’re missing out on one of life’s simple joys. Just don’t forget your cash and your stretchy pants — you’ll need both.

Went through Lonoke and decided to stop since most local dairy bars are good in my opinion. Ordered a chicken strip sandwich and made it a basket. I guess I should have asked what came with the $3.49 basket because it only came with fries. A side of fries was $2.49 so I guess you just get extra fries and no drink. They only take cash payments. The chicken strips were the cheap frozen kind that looked like frozen fish fillets even though you got 3. The fries were hot and crispy but not done all the way through. Don't think it was worth the $10 price.

Just a great old fashioned burger spot. We were traveling from out of town and decided to try a local spot. Great old town burger with fries. You can't go wrong. Also less than $10 for a meal. Burgers were big and delicious. Brought cash as others said to pay.

I've always loved the Dairy Bar, it's been a staple in the community and a personal favorite for years. The food, the friendly faces, the hometown feel, it all made for a great experience every time.

But lately, things have taken a noticeable turn under the semi-new ownership. The food often feels rushed and inconsistent, and to-go orders have been disappointing, boxes are sometimes broken, overly greasy, or just carelessly packed. It’s a far cry from the quality and attention to detail that used to set the Dairy Bar apart.

What’s more troubling, though, is the atmosphere. I was there sometime last week. The young women who work there are always polite and smiling, and I truly appreciate their kindness, but I can't help noticing that they're there every single time I visit, regardless of the day or time. They seem overworked and it shows, but still they never fail to have a smile on their faces.

I say this not to tear the place down, but because I care. The Dairy Bar has always meant something special to a lot of people in this community, and...

If you like an old fashion burger joint, this is the place. There was a little wait but it was worth it. Call ahead if you don't want to wait. The staff was friendly and courteous. Bring cash because they don't except plastic. I was disappointed the first time I stopped there a week ago because all I had was the company credit card, and I ended up eating at the other rabbit restaurant down the street, which wasn't quite what I wanted. Anyway, the cheese dip is a nice change from ketchup to go with the fries. I wish I visited Lonoke more often. If I'm passing by on I40 and it's time to eat, or not, I'll be stopping at...
