Atlantic Barbecue — Restaurant in Lorton

I recently had the pleasure of trying Atlantic Barbecue's food truck, i went to my daughter’s school for literature night Atlantic Barbecue Food Truck was participating… and I have to say, it was an experience worth sharing!Despite the cold and how windy it was ,the smell coming from the food truc and the overall vibe made it completely worth the wait.

First off lets talk about the customer service first , it was exceptional!!!! . From the moment I approached the truck, The Owner was friendly and welcoming. His passion for the food was evident in the way he interacted with my daughter & I , talking about the seasonings & sauces making you feel like you were part of the actual experience of cooking … The attention to detail in taking orders was impressive, and you could tell that each dish was prepared with care and freshly made to order.

Now, let’s talk about the food! I started with getting just the mac and cheese, but once i walked away, i came back and seen the different flavors of wings .. i had to get !!! Let’s talk about the strawberry kiwi Kool-Aid, and I was pleasantly surprised at how refreshing and flavorful it was. It wasn’t too sweet but had the perfect balance of tang and sweetness.

But the real star of the show were the buffalo lemon pepper wings. Wow, just wow! The wings were cooked to perfection, crispy on the outside while still juicy on the inside. The buffalo sauce was rich and spicy, and the lemon pepper seasoning added the perfect tangy kick. Honestly, I haven’t had wings like that in a long time – they were absolutely amazing!

What impressed me even more was the cleanliness and organization of the food truck. Usually, I’m a bit hesitant with food trucks, but Atlantic Barbecue made me feel completely comfortable. , The wings , Jollof rice and Mac n cheese was DELICIOUS ,and it was clear He take pride in cooking & keeping things spotless as he cook ,! It’s so refreshing seeing people cook with passion still !

Despite the freezing temperatures, I didn’t mind standing outside waiting for it – it was that good! The way the wing were prepared fresh and cooked to order made the cold weather seem like nothing. I’m already looking forward to my next visit. If you’re hesitant about food trucks, don’t be with Atlantic Barbecue. It’s a gem that’s definitely worth the wait! Oh … did i mention … it’s black owned !!!

EDIT: Even though my experience was a bit disappointing, man Michael went above and beyond in rectifying the experience. He explained that they're making some changes and issued a full refund. Good guy - next time I see them around I will be sure to drop a few dollars to support a local business. Thank you all.

Whoof! Atlantic BBQ was visiting my apartment complex, and so I decided to order the Ribs, the fries, and the mac and cheese. It was a Friday night and planned on sharing with my wife.

I ordered and paid from the truck online, and after placing my order, I began to walk to the truck. I then received a call and was informed that they had no ribs. No chicken. No bbq. That's why I was there! This is what I planned on having for dinner - so I settled on the smash burger and fries instead (they still charged me the full $40 order for this).

Upon receiving the burger and fries, I realized there was NO mac and cheese (which they never informed me of) and a MASSIVE amount of fries. I like fries - don't get me wrong - but holy mary! These fries were SO unbelievably over seasoned... they were disgusting! I had sores on the inside of my mouth after eating only around a handful of fries, they were just SO salty! Nasty things.

Then the smash burger was supposed to have some apple butter on it... but it was DRENCHED. The entire bottom bun was soaking wet and I had to ditch it.

Man, I was SO disappointed. The guy working the truck seemed very friendly, I just wish I had a better experience like the other reviewers! I'd like to try again if they come around... just hope they have some decent...

I recently ordered from Atlantic BBQ for a large gathering, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. From the start, Michael was incredibly responsive, patient with all my questions, and very accommodating to our needs.

The food was outstanding—excellent quality, generous portions, and absolutely delicious. Our guests had nothing but great things to say, and we received many compliments throughout the event.

Michael’s team arrived on time, were friendly, professional, and went above and beyond by helping us set up both the food and drinks. Their support truly made everything run smoothly.

I highly recommend Atlantic BBQ for any event. They made our gathering a success, and I will definitely be using them again...
