A quaint, relaxing place to have lunch with your friend. As a heads up, the chilli cheese fries don't have actual chilli and the pupusas are a bit on the bland side compared to the street pupusas nearby, and the nachos aren't too spectacular either, BUT don't let three dishes stop me from praising the rest I've tried. I never had messier tostadas in my life, but they were dang good and exactly what I needed on a hot day. XD Their hotdogs are delicious, as well as their cheesecakes, and I consider myself a cheesecake expert. The horchata, champurrado, tacos, rice, and beans are just right. Sometimes the rice might turn out paler than usual, likely due to running out of ingredients, but that's ok. They still manage to make it work. But the thing they have that I usually get is the chorizo burrito. Absolutely delicious.They never got my order wrong despite my limited Spanish, and the chef speaks English in case you ever need help, so don't hesitate to go just because of the language barrier. Ive eaten here before and the food was decent. last night i paid 70$ for the absolute worst mexican food that i have ever eaten or tried to eat. nachos with ballpark nacho cheese on them the birria de res was pale and had zero flavor it was just boiled meat with no seasoning or flavor there was clear water in the corner of the foam container.a side of beans and rice was served in a small foam cup and was maybe half full way less than what came with the de res.not to mention they where tastless as well..I am amazed how this place can keep the doors open with such low quality food. i will never waste my time or money on ana marias again no joke. It was hands down the worst mexican food i have ever been served..DO NOT WASTE YOURE TIME OR MONEY HERE...I am talking about the one in sylmar only...

This used to be a good place I went tonight to pick up some dinner and not only did I pay the same amount I get of paid for at Taco Bell but they are now charging for everything chips and dip if you're sitting there they'll charge you which they never did and all over the restaurant you'll see prices for small items that were for free before. The worker that was there told me that it was new owners and they're charging for everything usually they used to give salsa for everything you would buy apparently no not anymore so as of tonight it will be my last time going to this place. I've been going to this place for a very long time and unfortunately because of this I rather go to Taco Bell and take my chances. The meat quality was awful.
