As a Venezuelan myself, I make it a point try Venezuelan spots. I've gone to a lot of spots in Southern California, and this is by far is the best. Other spots may be good but overpriced (Pasadena) to charge all the boujie white folks, or over-hyped food truck (Downtown LA) that's just regular, or underwhelming in flavor (Orange County). This place had great prices, tasted very home made and it was a cute set up.
I went in the evening which made me feel like I was headed the wrong way because it's in a residential area area in front of their house. Best to park on the street and walk in.
I had a patacon that was very flavorful and just the right amount of crispy and finger-licking messiness. I also had empanadas and they were also very good.
I was the only guest at first, but many others showed up shortly after. The service was great, they were very welcoming and friendly.
The only feedback I would give is to put signs up that describe where to park if someone accidentally drives into the home driveway. Happened to me and I had to back out. One of the tables had ants so maybe more insecticide, but honestly that was no problem as I just moved to another that was fine. There was lots of seating and a very nice set up with good lighting.
