La Carreta Taqueria — Restaurant in Los Angeles

04/13/2025 9:40PM . This is my to go spot. I have never had any complaints about this spot, but today it seemed as if they were all being lazy with little to no customer service involved. I start by making a phone call, thinking it will be a fast and smooth transaction as the female caller stated that it was not busy and my order should be ready within 5 minutes. As I arrive and a bald-headed, white guy attends me, He looked as if he did not want to be at work or provide me service by his facial expressions. Upon rendering payment and waiting for my order, he gives me my drinks and as I am waiting. He attends another customer whose order comes first rather then mine keep in mind that I ordered through phone. As I am waiting , looking dumb and everybody else is accepting their order. I am very dissapointed with this restaurant, I hardly buy food there and this time when I decided to go and enjoy the food, I had to see the most upsetting and disrespectful scene coming from the "owner". It is 7pm and a man just trying to make money for the night, selling oranges was kicked out from the parking lot without a right to defend his rights yelling at him and getting on his face like if he was stealing something when all he was trying to do is provide for his family. It wasn't necessary for the "owner" to yell at him the way he did and kick him out in the way he did. To me as being part of of the community and coming from hard working people, we shouldn't treat others in a disgraceful way. I came here because i was hungry and i saw the reviews were good. They accept debit cards which was a plus and the place is updated and VERY clean. The staff was very nice and helpful. Now the food. I ordered a california burrito and there was great flavor. The beans taste like they're made fresh and the carne was tender and had a nice flavor. The portions and price were pretty good too. I also ordered the jamaica and it was decent. I don't think its made from scratch but it did the job and i still enjoyed it. There's indoor and outdoor seating and its handicap accessible as well as bathroom available to customers and the parking lot looks like it can handle a crowd. This is a great lunch or dinner spot.
