🍛🍽️🇵🇰❤️🇮🇳😋 I can't believe I haven't raved about Tawakal Halal Tandoori Restaurant sooner! If you're a fan of Punjabi cuisine, this Pakistani gem is like a flavor explosion waiting to happen. It's the real deal when it comes to authentic Pakistani food.
Let's talk about the Mutton Karahi. It's my absolute favorite! The rich, savory flavors and tender mutton are a match made in culinary heaven. But what truly elevates the experience is the mint chutney and the crisp onion-cucumber salad, just like what you'd find at those famous Punjabi dhabas. It's the little details that make each bite so much more flavorful!
And then there's the Naan – oh, the Naan! These fluffy, freshly baked pieces of perfection are some of the best you'll ever come across. They're the perfect accompaniment to the array of mouthwatering dishes on the menu.
Speaking of that menu, it's a treasure trove of deliciousness. The Reshmi Kabab, Chicken Tikka, Chicken Karahi, Bihari Kabab, Seekh Kabab – the list seems never-ending. I've tried them all, and trust me, it's always pretty darn good.
Now, a pro tip for those ordering the Karahi entrees: ask for some extra gravy, especially if you're sharing a few Naans with friends or family. It's the secret to making every last bite count!
Don't fret about parking – it's free and readily available. The restaurant might not be huge, but let me tell you, anyone who loves Pakistani food knows about this hidden gem.
Tawakal Halal Tandoori Restaurant is a delightful journey through the flavors of Pakistan, a place where every dish is a masterpiece, and every bite is a revelation. If you're a foodie with a love for authentic, mouthwatering cuisine, this place is a must-visit. It's a well-kept secret that deserves to be shared...
Read moreI had a terrible experience at Tawakal Halal Tandoori Restaurant and I would strongly advise anyone to avoid this place. The food is extremely oily and of very low quality. The nihari and kadai gosht were particularly disappointing. The eggplant was okay, but not good enough to make up for the other terrible dishes.
To make matters worse, the nihari barely had any meat and was watered down. It was obvious that the restaurant was trying to cut corners and save money by skimping on the ingredients. The food was simply unacceptable and I couldn't believe how poor the quality was.
But the worst part of my experience was how creepy the owner was towards female patrons. The owner is very condescending if you're a female. I've noticed how he treats the female customers and how he speaks to them. He also just stares at women which made me feel very uncomfortable.
The bathrooms were also disgustingly dirty and unsanitary. It was clear that they had not been cleaned in a very long time. It was honestly the worst bathroom I've ever seen in a restaurant.
To top it all off, the customer service was non-existent. The wait staff was a reflection of the owner, they were rude and unprofessional. If the owner doesn't care about his customers, then why would the waiters care? It was a terrible experience and I regret paying any money for the meal.
Overall, I would never recommend Tawakal Halal Tandoori Restaurant to anyone friend or foe. The food was terrible, the owner was creepy, the bathrooms were dirty, and the customer service was non-existent. Stay away from this place at all costs. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else for your Pakistani...
Read moreSo we all know the food is great. That is why they get 2 stars. But the food can only do so much to make up for the lack of service. The owner is completely useless. And the wait staff is a reflection of the owner. If he doesn't care about his customers, then why would the waiters care? Came in the place a to go order this afternoon. Was told it would take 45 minutes. Seemed long, but went with it. Went and got groceries while the food was being made. Called about 30 minutes after I left to add one more naan to the order. When I called, on the background you could hear the owner telling the waitress that they didn't have one of the items that I ordered. It would have been nice to know that when I placed the order. So I ordered something else to replace it. Came back after 45 minutes and food was not ready. We waited another 30 minutes before our order was ready. While we were waiting, there was another gentleman who was there when we originally got there. He got his food as we were returning. After a couple minutes he got up and asked for the owner. He told the owner that he sat down almost an hour ago, just got his food, and the order was wrong so he was leaving and would never be back. The owner could care less. I guess the best way to go is to place an order over the phone, verify they have everything that you are ordering, pick it up an hour after you call, and eat it at home. Just minimize human contact as much...
