I went here on Sunday with my grandmother, brother, and cousins as a pit stop to get something to eat before we got to our destination. We went in the morning. To start off, we all went in with face coverings, just like the law requires that we do in the midst of the pandemic, and we noticed that none of the workers inside were wearing masks. There were 3 Carl's Jr employees and one girl that seemed to just be hanging out. She didn't look like she belonged there. She was wearing sweats and a backpack, but none of it had any pins or embroidery that showed that she was an employee. One of the employees (she could have also been the manager/supervisor) was sitting in the closed-off dining area but she was asleep. She was sleeping on the job and it was morning time. I didn't have my glasses on me (which I needed since I am near sighted) to see the food pricing on the menu clearly, so I took my time to check the menu for what I was going to order. I was the first one to order and I took no longer than a full minute to finally know what it is that I wanted. The only cashier upfront looked irritated that I didn't know what I wanted right away. Keep in mind we were the only customers there and we had just walked in. I ordered chicken tenders with waffle fries and a water. It was expensive. Almost $15. She took my order and then my brother and my cousins went next. We all took note that the cashier's friend was going back and forth between the blocked-off seating area and the area behind the cash register, where only authorized personnel should be working. Her and her friend (the cashier) were trying to communicate with someone in the drive through. Her friend walked up to one of the windows in the dining area to try to get the attention of someone outside, who was in their car, and was ordering their food. We also noted that the lights where the cook was doing her work were all turned off. She was working in the dark all by herself. We couldn't see if she was wearing a mask or not since she was somewhat hidden but the cashier and her friend weren't wearing a mask. The food came out at a good time. I'm glad it didn't take long for them to make. After I got my food I went outside to go meet up with my brother and one of my cousins, my cousin told me that he got hooked up with a full meal for just $5. THAT IS RIDICULOUS!!!! He bought the same thing as me and all he paid was $5?!?! I paid almost $15 for the exact same thing, what's up with that? That is not fair. Carl's Jr in Los Baños, I hope you do something about your employees because anyone could get sick from your workers not using masks. Not only that, but the fact that they are allowing their friends to come over and mess around while they work is a hazard. Anything could go wrong, it's not just that they can have the 'Rona and contaminate everything. You get two stars for the lack of hygiene and proper work ethic that your employees lacked. The...
Read moreThis place isn't the best compared to the other carls across town. If you do go here, it's better to go during the day. I have never had any issues with the carl's across town, so I highly recommend to just go to that one instead. It's not much of an extra drive if you're just passing through.
Generally, the people working there tend to be pretty grumpy, even during the day. I don't know if I have ever had someone with a pleasant attitude here. Attitude isn't everything to me though, but it does bother me when you ask for a sauce packet and they ask you why you want sauce. Like, to eat with my food with, why else? In general though, the food tends to come out great during the day. Whoever works as the chef during the day always does a great job, I have never had any issues with my food, customizations or no. During the night however, I would advise against going here and just drive to the one across town instead. The girl that works there always has a really bad attitude, and I have had food that I have asked for with no lettuce and tomato, and it is on there anyways. When I told them that it was made wrong, they just told me that it was my fault. If I could rate day and night seperately, I would put food at 5 stars during the day, and food at around 2 stars during the night shift. As for service, it would be 1 star during the night and 2 stars...
