This place is gorgeous. Great environment for kids to experience. The server made me comfortable, she was understanding and tried her best to give me a great first time experience. I had an awful first time experience 🙃 It started when we got there earlier then the time I was reserved for. I had made this reservation 1 month ahead. They seated us at 5:45pm my husband was observing the way the seat people they let 4 people ahead of us to be seated when I already had reservation for 5:30pm!!! I tell the lady in the front that I had a reservation and she said yes your next rudely 😒 We are a family of 5: 2 adults and 3 children my oldest daughter is severely brain damaged and is not able to do anything. It was a very windy kinda cold evening they sat us outside under a heater even though there was heat my daughters were uncomfortable. I wanted to be seated inside!!!Then the food came. Not good at all not satisfying food, inconsistent flavors. The food was not what you would expect it to be. The flavors don't compliment eachother. I got sick from the ceviche. 🤢The butter for their bread board was just oily old tasting butter without butter. One of the dishes I got was $32 for a small portion of over cooked pasta that had a texture that was making me feel disgusting 😑 I complained and she said I can pick something else so I did I got spaghetti and my daughter also got the spaghetti 🍝 and hers tasted so good. So I got spaghetti also and one they brought me was awful and sour and the cheese tasted like I can't even explain 🥴so I let her know it was not the same as the one my daughter got, she said so sorry she didn't charge it to the bill. Appreciated. Paying for meals that are ridiculously overpriced and the food is by far not made up to par as far as a foodie goes. I am very disappointed and unsatisfied with Campos at Los Poblanos. The food menu needs to be updated and get inspected! My standards for food is extremely importantly high. I wish my experience was better! I will never go back to the restaurant 😕 Also I heard through the 🍇 vine that this restaurant is no longer using locally grown produce 😐😤 so why are prices over high and under quality! This is just my experience and opinions please don't be discouraged. Try this place out and hopefully you will have a better experience then my family and I did. Sometimes it a...

I was having a private conversation with another patron at the bar about wokism in which I opined that I have no qualms with a man preferring certain pronouns (she/her, they/them, hee/haw) so long as he doesn't presume to force me to address him that way. If he is biologically a he, I will refer to him as a he. I am free to do so. I will not have my language hijacked, nor my sense of reality. If they get too distressed over it, I am happy not to even talk to nor about them ever.
Management, and at least some of the staff around me, felt very differently. The manager and one of the staff (her name is Haley) presumed to impose on me a restriction on my right to speak freely to another person. They kept saying they wanted to promote a "safe environment". The manager literally, if gently, demanded I stop conversing with the other patron. He assumed I was still talking about the "dreaded" subject, but actually we had long since moved on from it. He could have graciously left it alone, but he instead had the temerity to and presumptuousness of commanding me, a paying customer, to disengage on a topic he (they) didn't like. This is what we've come to. It's not enough to pay their high prices and leave over 30% tips. One must also acquiesce to their arbitrary demands. Well obviously I can fix that by never returning.
But is a restaurant a concentration camp now? The degree of Twilight Zone in the air tonight cannot be overstated.
And since when are opinions unsafe? Protecting people's feelings has become more important than freedom of speech. He who believes that feelings trump freedom is in for a tyrannical surprise at the end of the rainbow.
How does one sew discord in society? How does one conquer a people? One way is to convince everyone he or she is a victim that deserves a kit gloves treatment for his or her learned neuroses, and kill free speech in the name of making every place a "safe environment."
That is the twisted phrase of a brainwashed staff.
If you still want to pour money in to the place, you are free to do so. Because every one wants to be free is. I, however, will never set foot in the place barring a profuse apology from the owners and basic education to their staff on the Bill of Rights.
But I guarantee that...
Read moreHello, I just wanted to pass along my experience at Campo. This was the first time my girlfriend and I had ate there. We had a couple of friends that suggested it and decided to check it out. Now I’m not posting this in an effort to discredit this establishment, but to make them aware of things that they could definitely improve upon. The service was great. Our server was a delightful young lady. The atmosphere was nice, also.
When we arrived it became confusing as to where the entrance to the restaurant was. The pathway was not very well lit, by no means. We walked around probably two thirds of the exterior before a couple that was also lost found the entrance and pointed us in the right direction. Once inside we were all jammed in a small area near the door where people were trying to check in and also leave the restaurant. This become very awkward. There’s gotta be a better way of doing that. The employee's working the reservations and seating were very nice though. We were seated fairly quickly because we had reservations, so that was nice.
The game changer for us was, the ribeye that I ordered. I’m a big meat-eater and was excited to try it based on the servers’ recommendation. It cost 65 dollars so in my mind this steak must be amazing!
Presentation of the our plates were really nice when they came. My steak was cooked correctly also. But, I have never ate a steak more tough than the one I experienced there. It was ridiculously tough to cut. I become extremely disappointed. I felt like I was eating a leather shoe. Not what I was expecting. This in essence ruined the buildup to a highly expected evening of dining for my girlfriend and I.
I must mention, that I am not one to complain to a business in a situation like this, in the moment. I feel that it creates an even bigger cloud of gloom and I was trying to salvage the nights experience without going through the rest of the evening’s events in a sour mood.
Based on our experience, we will not be returning to this restaurant.
