Brookside Pizza, Loudon — Restaurant in Loudon

Stopped by a few nights ago for take out. Place was not that busy as we just missed the dinner rush. Ordered a few subs, chicken wings, fries, and a small pizza

NOTE: It is important to note that this location did have a few younger trainees taken the orders and learning the ropes.

PIZZA: The pizza was a small chicken broccoli alfredo. The sauce was none existent along with the broccoli. The chicken was in big chunks and had been marinade in Italian dressing that did not work well at all. Salt and pepper and cooking the chicken on a flat top or open flame would be so much better.

PASTRAMI SUB: the sub roll was really bad and tasted stale as it broke apart. They do not have spicy brown mustard but put honey mustard on it. The pastrami was very little and the peppers mushrooms and onion was at best mediocre.

HAM AND CHEESE SUB : AGAIN, the sub roll was not that great. I asked for everything on the sub except no onion. So they put banana peppers on the sub. 99% of the time, places will ask if you want hots and banana peppers. Nope, not here; They just assumed.

CHICKEN WINGS: I love the chicken wings here as I believed they are a brand called "Wing Dings". My only issue is when they put the wings in the Styrofoam container, the heat from the wings melt the container Contaminating the wings. Same issue with anything from the fryer. They really need to do a better job. No one wants to eat wings with melted Styrofoam on them. I do not know if I will be back yet however, I really hope they change out the food containers with something different.

So I will start with this. When you order hots in the northeast it should be obvious that it is the relish hots not banana peppers. This isnt California. Banana peppers arent that bad , but when you only put 4 little peices on a LG sub it's pathetic. So every other bite I got alittle bit of peppers. Literally the blandess italian sub i ever had. Only 1 slice of provolone on the whole sub too. The sub was so light it weighed less then the menu I grabbed, menu was a great fire starter after I tried sub. The tweenie boys holding hands behind the counter watching taylor swift videos on tiktok need a good smack in the head. How about some pride in your work and or atleast some quality control. Lol Nevertheless definitely won't be going to this "sub shop" again. Usually I would give another shot , but when you mess a "sub" up this bad your done. Funny I see other reviews that say workers don't care and screw up alot and their response was this will be handled or addressed. Hahahhaha that was a review 7 months ago. We ordered food at Brookside this evening. when entering the restaurant I put my mask on, as did other people entering the restaurant. I noticed x’s on the floor for social distancing which we all paid attention to. While I was waiting for my order I noticed that not one person working in the kitchen had masks on, worse than that I watched two teenagers preparing food with their bare hands. I watched a young man pick up spaghetti with his fingers! So if you ordered a pasta meal around 7 pm this evening, this is how your pasta was handled. I don’t handle pasta in my own home with my bare hands! I also watched this same young man and another teenager preparing pizza the same way, grabbing handfuls of cheese and separating pepperoni with their bare hands!
