Jay's New York Pizza & Grill — Restaurant in Loudon

Not impressed. This was my first and last time here. I ordered a large pepperoni pizza, it was just ok, I think it could of been left to cook just a few mins longer as the cheese wasn't completely melted on one slice. I order garlic bread, but received cheesy bread. Good thing I checked before I left. I brought it back in telling them the problem, everyone seemed a bit confused for whatever reason. The girl told me there is an option online for garlic bread and cheesy bread, well yes I know that I can read and I ordered garlic bread...it was on the receipt. Some guy comes out says they can't refund me, one says because it is an online order someone else says bc the pizza is sliced. I didn't want my pizza refunded only the bread. Maybe the owner? I don't know tried talking me into taking the cheesy bread and normally its $13 but you can have it for the garlic bread price of $8.. again i didn't want it!!! I ordered garlic bread for a reason. Finally they offer to make the garlic bread and were nice enough to keep my pizza warm while I waited. The "garlic bread" if you call it that is not in any shape or form worth $8 it was a piece of hollow tasteless bread. Dry and no taste or seasonings. I would give zero stars. I have not been to jays in over 3 years as service was poor and food was barley adequate and heavily over priced. BUT my husband wanted to try them again, after changing management. After making a carryout order and was told 30 minutes to pick up, my husband waited an additional 40 minutes for pizza that came out, cold, was told last minute they didn't actually have wings, so replaced with ribs, that are mediocre at best. Came home with a pizza that was not cauliflower crust and was Hawaiian without pineapple on it. He also relayed that the poor woman in there was the only one doing anything while the boys employed there passed a vape back and forth over the counter, with another boy that came in. Will NEVER patron this place again. Edit: I called the manager about this and she offered to replace, credit, ect. Just not worth it. If they can't basic stuff right, I can't imagine they are following any health guidelines, washing hands, properly storing food ect. I want nothing from this place. We eat at Jay's inside at least once a week. Always have good food and service. This week we had delivery since my hubby had eye surgery and has to stay home. As usual the food was delicious with a very large serving (enough for 2 days). The delivery driver, Johnathon, was great. He was very friendly and polite. He thanked us for ordering delivery and made recommendations on what we should order next time. I could tell that he is proud of the food he delivers and the service they give. When we go inside, we know there will be a small wait because the food is made fresh. They don't make a ton and leave it sitting there all day. I do not consider Jay's fast food. Its more of a dining experience and we don't mind the wait, it gives us time to talk and catch up. If you want Great Food, Hearty Portions and all around Friendly Service, Jays is the place to be. If you would rather have delivery, I recommend that also because the delivery driver is awesome and you still get the great food, large portions and super friendly service. See you guys...
