I went to BJ's on Hwy 28 for first time a few days ago. I have never had someone ring me up that was so snappy with the customers (black slim older woman) and another lady (younger white woman) was behind counter talking bad with that lady about other people. I let it go and went to sit down. My children had spilt their drink so I went up to one of the employees (the same one talking about people) to see if I could get a rag so that I could clean it up so the employees working there wouldn't have to. Half way into asking the same person who rang me up, which come to find out was actually the manager, interrupted. I told her I was just asking for a rag and she snapped at an employee to clean it up. She wasn't even letting me speak to the employee. Someone came out to clean it up and was super sweet (slim white lady maybe in her 40s). I wanted to leave her a tip and asked if she would get it or the manager. Once the manager saw me talking to her she refused to let her come back out so I couldn't even get her a tip. To top off the customer service experience, the food smelt funny. When we got home everyone was sick to their stomach. The leftovers, half of a pizza and half of another, went to waste because no one even wanted to eat the pizza. I am a frequent customer to the one in Ball. I have always loved Bj's. The customer service over there has always been amazing. However, I will never go back to the Pineville location again. I reported it to the Ball location and hopefully someone got the message. I really hope that you will take the time to consider looking into how this location is being ran. I would say to go look at the way this lady treated people through the cameras, but I was told your location had no working cameras above...
Read moreI absolutely love the food. It’s incredible. I order 2-3 times a month at least and I have a big family. So our orders Are over $100 every time. The biggest issue I have is the management and their policy’s. Every time I order and remember it’s often I get told something different. They say I can’t get my military discount with delivery. I get it if that’s the standard, but sometimes they do my discount and other times they don’t. It is very frustrating to be a loyal faithful customer, and it’s always something different and it’s not done nicely either. I honestly think tonight will be the last time I give them my money. I’ll spend it elsewhere, and not be given the run around every time I call. If a business has a military discount they need to honor it. To pick and choose when you want to honor it is ridiculous. Delivery is something I am literally paying more for and then tipping well on top of that. It hurts this business more to take it away. The money I save with my discount I always pay it in a bigger tip than Normal. The food is delicious so I can see the outrageous price on it bc it is very good. I want to make that clear, but service is the other part to it. When I’m paying right at $30 for 1 pizza and $50 for 30 wings, paying sometimes $200 for 1 dinner, you should be respectful to your customers. If this attitude I continue to receive would have been once or twice I would have ignored it bc every one has a hard day and you never know what someone is going through. But the last 4 times? The pizza is good but not that good. Retrain your staff, and set a standard and keep it. I heard excuses constantly. It’s a restaurant, better service will keep you...
Read moreThis place is a part of Pineville's heritage. They've got a unique local pizza type style that has worked for them. They keep it simple, one kind of crust. I think they also have a wheat option or some health type option as well. It's nice to have a good pizza place that isn't a national chain in my opinion. They have lots of toppings, and the infamous fully loaded pizza, their equivalent to "supreme" is called the "Full House."
The crust is between thin crust and regular crust I would say. It's a soft crust, and crispy around it's golden brown outside edges.
I would say the sauce is traditional style pizza sauce but with a little bit of Italian "zing".
It's worth the cost of the buffet just to get the chocolate chip cookies. They are the best cookies I've ever found besides when I make them at home.
For more health conscious people, BJs still has a great salad bar, and I don't think there's many other salad bars left in the genre area of Hwy 28 East...
