This place is hit or miss. I've had crawfish from here and they are well seasoned. I usually order blue crabs. I am a crab fanatic and I have ordered from them many times. They had a worker named Jennifer and she was amazing. She knew me and my husband, by voice. I would call at least Once a week to get a doz of crabs and she would inform me if the catch was good or bad. I appreciated that, but now they just tell you a price and sell you whatever. I know now that I can't send me husband just to pick up, because they will sell you anything. This last time, I ordered a dozen of large crabs for $36. They gave me 12 of the smallest crabs. Smaller than my hand. Six only had 1 claw. 3 were empty. They were flavored well but I didn't get what I paid for. I called and spoke to the owner and he said that he sold over 200lbs that day and I was the only one to complain. He said that my husband picked them up and he shouldn't taken them if they weren't right. Well now, If I can't go with my husband to pick them up, and Jennifer no longer works there, I won't buy from them. I can't drive do to epilepsy, I was upset about that interaction because I was just telling my mother how good they were. Oh well, now I will consider Sals ( too expensive, but consistant) or Johnny's. I've never...

when you round the bend of this part of lapalco blvd, you'll often see queues of cars and trucks on the side of the road. they may look abandoned, but they belong to hungry people lined up at a little shack of a building.

inside this hidden gem, you'll find friendly people selling some of the best tasting crawfish and fixings in the area. i've enjoyed their stuff several times. today, we got 4 lbs. of piping hot and huge crawfish, an order of corn, two small bags of potatoes, and an order of mushrooms for about $22. it was barely enough for 2 adults and 3 kids (13, 11, 3 yo). we'll get a bit more next time.

take note: they don't go easy on those who are spice sensitive. the non-crawfish stuff is actually more spicy than the crawfish. my kids can barely handle it (aka more for me!).

if you ask them how much should you order for your group or family, they'll adroitly ask: "are y'all from here?" they know that la natives can easily polish off 2-10+ lbs of crawfish per person depending on your appetite and/or girth.

they do take credit cards and if you can get them on the phone--call ahead with your order to save you a bit of time. very good stuff. we...

I was so disappointed 😞 I went there about 5:00pm 08/16 /24 ordered boiled crabs 🦀 and they were so mushy in the inside too the point I was very displeased they are usually good but this time they were awful 😖 😱 this makes me not want to get anything else from there I get boiled crabs 😢 at least 2 or 3 times a week from there crabs coast to much not to be satisfied

8/19/24 I did call 📞 when i got home about 6:30 or so. i told the young what the problem was. The young man said we're about to close. There's nothing I can do at this time. Do you have your receipt? I said no. I paid with cash, and you didn't give me a receipt with my change.and That was my fault he said I can't help you without one. I said okay thanks for your help. I didn't like the way I was handled he could have said, "Leave your number, and I will talk to my manager, and we'll see what we can do." I have no problem retracting my review. But I was mad I will continue to visit because it's...

This is some really good crawfish. Seasoned. A bit spicy. (Not a lot of seaweed or dirt on them.) The lobster was boiled just like a crawfish. Had the boiled shrimp, lobster, 15 lbs. of crawfish, with corn, potatoes, and garlic on the side. All I can say is 'delicious'. This place is easy to miss because it is located in the bend of the road. The cashier said that we will come back. She was right. (Forgot to take pictures because once we started eating, nobody wanted to get up to get their phone.) Edit: Second visit, got 20 lbs. of crawfish, 1 lobster, 3 lbs. of shrimp, 1 egg, and some sides. Seasoned but a wee bit saltier than before, but still good. Spice level, just right. I am going to put this on my 'must visit' list.

Hands down the best option available for seafood on the Westbank, if not the entire Metro New Orleans area! Yes, it's just that good! Imagine your favorite family member, who can boil seafood like nobody else. I am pretty sure that he/she must have worked here in the past and stole the recipe! With that being said, people don't come here for the charming abiance. This is a bare bones operation that is worried about nothing but the food. Just the basics. No tables, just walk up service. The main lady that you interact with is super friendly and nice. In my opinion she need's a substantial pay increase. She seems to never tire and always has a welcoming smile. Basically she adds the 5th star to my review. Nuff said.
