I wasn't going to say anything. But this app on my phone asked me to rate my experience. Glad I took the picture.. Doesn't taste like authentic Mexican food. Waiter was good. Food was NOT! $30 wasted. Ordered the taco salad. Got a bowl full of lettuce. Notice how small and tiny the meat is cut up. Also ordered and paid for extra shrimp. They were cut up too.. in tiny pieces.. I was out done.

One good thing was food came out very fast but they was late on giving us chips and salsa and we got very little food for the price then when we went to pay it messed up are bank card

Good food, great service and a family atmosphere. I had the chimi while Hubster had the chicken fajitas (yes, normally served with peppers. He just doesn't eat them).

My family and I decided to eat here and we were disappointed at the very beginning. The waitress only took drink orders from the men at the table first. She left but I gave her the benefit of doubt and waited patiently. She returned with their drinks and before I could finish ordering the children’s drinks, she was gone again.

The food! Our orders came out at a decent time but everyone was disappointed by what they had in-front of them. Our table had 3 orders of the Xtapia mix with 3 pieces of sliced chicken, 3 pieces of beef, and 2 shrimp! For 18.99! None of the food was seasoned and small portions! Absolutely PLAIN tasting for the entire table!! My husband ordered the quail and it was RAW! I’m talking PINK! We sent it back and they did fix it, but still! We should never have to bite into raw cooked food!! And then pay for it! I ordered the deviled shrimp (translated) and paid 15.99 for 7 shrimp!!! 7 small shrimp!! Avocado was supposed to come with my meal and I was served 3 THIN slices of avocado! I asked for more and was brought more but was CHARGED for it! My son ordered a kids pizza but was not given a side of fries or rice but was charged FULL PRICE! Plus child’s drinks!! The large queso BARLEY feed 3 people and I only filled the black bowls 1/4 full!

I have never in my life left a restaurant review so for me to waist my time while with family to do this, MEANS SOMETHING!!!

Don’t waste your money here! We wasted 92.62 for a family of 4! I pay less going to a 5 start restaurant!!!

Our party was 10 people total and every single one of us left hungry and unhappy!!! Not to mention a total ticket of...

We used to go there weekly to eat but the food kept getting worse & worse so we stopped going. We went back today on the spur of the moment just to see if it had gotten better. It HAD NOT!! I ordered unsweet tea with no lemon & my hubby ordered sweet tea. They brought my tea with lemon ( I’m pretty used to that because no matter where I go I always say no lemon & 99% of the time I get lemon.)We were informed they were still making the sweet tea so he had to wait appx 5 min for something to drink . We finally got our chips & salsa & the salsa was cold whereas it had always been heated in the past. I ask to have it heated & they obliged. We ordered our food & I ordered the lunch 2 cheese enchiladas with chili gravy. When it came to the table it was covered in cheese. I ask isn’t this supposed to come with chili gravy? She looked confused & said umm no I don’t think so. I said I ordered 2 cheese enchiladas not the 2 cheesy enchiladas. She said well I can bring you some chili. I said no thanks because I just wanted to eat & get out of there. The cheese inside the enchiladas was cold & in a glob no where melted at all! She came back to the table & asked for my glass so she could get me more tea. She left the table with my glass came back & sat it down. I added Sweet n Low only to take a drink of it & she had given me Sweet Tea! Needless to say I couldn’t drink it. I pushed the tea & my plate for them to pick up because I was absolutely done messing with these people!! We will NOT be returning....

I was in Zwolle for Fourth of July & we ended up at Pepe's. I wasn't terribly optimistic as I've visited many unremarkable small town Mexican restaurants.

The first pleasant thing for Pepe's was the salsa. It was surprisingly tasty -- spicy, but not overpowering. The best part was it was served hot. (I wish more places did that.) The salsa was almost like a thicker tortilla soup!

For my meal, I ordered the Camarones El Diabla. It came with a salad that wasn't anything special, but the shrimp themselves were delicious. It was in a spicy red sauce, but it still managed to be light. Everything ended up in The Clean Plate Club.

M'lady ordered their spinach quesadilla, which was also excellent, almost like a Mexican interpretation of spanakopita, but with a tortilla instead of filoh. She also had their frozen margarita & commented that it was one of the better ones she's had -- balanced -- not super sweet, tart, or overly boozy.

Finally, the service was very friendly & attentive. Pepe's was very good & a lesson to me to be more...
