Perino's Boiling Pot — Restaurant in Marrero

I recently ate here with my family after getting a recommendation from a friend and the food was amazing!

We ordered:

Charbroiled oysters both the original (Cheese & garlic butter) and the seafood (Seafood stuffing, cheese & garlic butter). The original was a 4/5 it was well seasoned. The seafood was a 5/5 the seafood stuffed highly enhanced the flavor. If you have to choose one go with the latter. It also came with slices of French bread. The flavor was very robust.

Seafood Gumbo, this was very delicious. The rice was well cooked and the gravy/soup was seasoned in a delicious way. You can't go wrong with this. There was a decent amount of meat and shrimp in it too

BBQ Shrimp with potatoes, sausage and corn. This was very good. The shrimp was huge and a good portion sized. The accompany sides that was added was good. The sausage wasn't spicy just to note. The corn was boiled and flavored well

Stuffed crab, this was crabbed stuffed with shrimp and seasoning. This was very tasty and was surprisingly enjoyable and so delicious. You get two servings with seasoned fries.

Kids Meals Popcorn Shrimp, Chicken Tenders, and Chicken nuggets. The kids loved their meals. The shrimp has a great flavors and all the kids loved the seasoned fries. The tenders were plenty full about 6 the nuggets were about 8. More enough to stuff you child full. The popcorn was plentiful as well.

Service started off string but faltered as the dinner crowd came in. Other than that this would be a 5 star review. I would come back here and I recommend the...

Today's visit to Perino's was the result of a comment made by my brother-in-law and his wife... "I know that New Orleans is famous for its great food (and other things), but we've been in town for 4 days and the food that we've found on this trip has been horrible."

"Before we head back home tomorrow, you have to take us to a restaurant that has GOOD New Orleans seafood."

Challenge accepted...

We arrived at the restaurant just moments before a tour bus (40+ people), were seated immediately and oooooooh baby!

We ordered 5lbs of boiled crawfish (with 3 sausages, potatoes and boiled corn), a shrimp basket, an oyster basket, crawfish tail basket and soft shell crab basket (all came with curly fries.

Just over half an hour later...let's just say...there were very few survivors and we had no room for dessert.

The food was exquisite and my in laws left with smiles.

The menu items are well priced, the staff outstanding and if Louisiana seafood at its finest is what you seek, y'all brought yo self over to Perino's Boiling Pot on the Westbank...

Welcome to New Orleans! We arrived at 6:30pm on Saturday, and wanted to get some seafood for dinner. We had picked three places and only Perino’s was open past 6:00 pm on a Saturday!

I’d say do not look any further!!

The service was great and the food was amazing!! We had crawfish, shrimp, both boiled and grilled, Dungeness crab, oysters with cheese and seafood, corn, and potatoes. Everything was so good!!

The bbq shrimp are cooked in a buttery sauce that has a distinct taste, really great. They come with bread you certainly need to dip in the butter!

The oysters are wow!! So darn good!

The pitcher of beer and the glasses came frozen, which you see so rarely and it makes a great difference.

Everyone laughs at me, but the corn here is cooked to perfection, proven by an award they’ve received for it!

The atmosphere is different. It’s a chill place with a lot of hunting trophy animals on the walls. Not sure how that relates to seafood, but the minute you get your food you stop asking question, that don’t really need an answer 😅

Well definitely come back for more!...
