VILLAGE INN - TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE - RUDE! I was very disappointed Friday night when we placed an order by phone for dinner. When my husband got home, it was the wrong order. I immediately called the restaurant and when I told them they gave my husband the wrong order, she rudely said "It was a ticket mix up". There was no I apologize, no nothing.... just "it was a ticket mix up". I then said, well I will now have to come back to get my right food as this order contained meat which we were not eating on Friday, and y'all are packed. All I got again was "there was a ticket mix up" When I got back to the restaurant to pick up my correct food, I had to wait in line as there were 3 people in front of me. As I was waiting, I was appalled to watch as she (Rachel - dark hair petite young girl at the cash register and answering the phone) was continually rude to people calling in on the phone. She would just pickup the phone and then immediately hang it up to get rid of the customer. She also at one point berated the kitchen staff because they were no cleaning up fast enough for her. When it was my turn, I put the wrong food on the counter and said, I am here to pick up my order. Not saying a word to me, she grabbed the bag, took it to the kitchen, yelled, wrong order, came back and threw my bag on the counter at me. There were no apologies, no nothing but continued rudeness. I can appreciate the fact that they were slammed, but that does not give her (Rachel) the right to be rude to people because she was busy, and obviously cannot handle the stress of the job. By the time I got home our po'boy's were a soggy mess because they had at that point been wrapped in a bag for over 45 minutes and were gross. Third time is the charm they say....
First time was normal, food came out quickly and was most importantly, warm.
Second time, the food took a while to get to the table and everything was cold. Asked for a new plate, they microwaved my plate and that was it. No discount on bill. Also, I had to call for the server. They don't check on you at all here.
Third time, food took 20 minutes to get to the table as tray after tray of food was going to other tables. Finally get told my food is on the way, 10 minutes later, most items are warm, the mac n cheese was colder than room temperature.
When I asked for the check for the other items at the table, the server was rude and short with me.
Do not recommend this place at all. 0/10.

At 7:25 pm he had finished his meal and I had yet to get my meal, nor was I even asked if I needed a refill on my tea. I canceled my ordered, he paid for his snd we left, with only a reply from our waitress of well can’t you see we have a full house and you steak is just coming off the grill now. In that case, if my medium steak was just coming off the grill, I’d hate to think what it would be like after cooking for a hour!
