I always order two medium pizzas party cut size to eat less and save some for later or I share it with men at work. I usually order on a lunch break, too. And it takes about 15-20 minutes most times. One lady offers me the coupon or āpick up offerā of two pizzas for $18.75 plus and without the coupon itās $20.75. I went in this week and I saw a different lady with blonde hair and blue eyes and a short bop cutā¦looks like a mechanic in an auto shopā¦and she tells a person on the phone that they have delivery and pick up deals. They usually donāt answer the phone but they were slow this week and the place was empty. She never offers me the coupon so I asked her if I could use the one promoted online and she said no with an attitude. She and the cook made me wait 50 minutes for my pizza all because so asked for the online coupon. And for some reason the cook decided to cook pizza this life time but he HATES cutting the pizza in party cut pieces.
I love the pizza and itās the best pizza in town. Iām from Chicago so the pizza was the best and it took me YEARS or like almost a decade to find good pizza in Kentucky.
But, I feel like the vibe is off when I order a pizza at times or particularly with this little short albino blonde lady and if she isnāt racist she is pre judging me or prejudice. I just want to eat some pizza! š„¹š”
People are waking up and realizing itās best to cook at home so itās wild when I see little businesses mistreat a customer and I always tipped $2 or $2 and change. I am like āI will buy some Boboli pizza crust on my own because if you have an attitude and it bothers you to give me a promotion are you mishandling my food?ā
The pizza is great but the wing and chicken looks like it came from broiled dinosaur paws or...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNote: This has grown into a long review. TL;DR: After staying away for a long time, I returned to find better customer service, and now better tasting food as well.
Original review: I was a semi- regular customer of this place for years, from even before they changed locations from Rockford Ln. Then, one day I went in to use the restroom as I had to go badly. I was intercepted by the manager woman, who informed me that I was not allowed to use the restroom there any more. Just like that, with no explanation whatsoever. Now, you might think from this that I had trashed the place, but no. I actually went out of my way to clean up paper on the floor and whatnot each time I went there, to help the staff who were usually friendly. I tried to leave the place as clean or cleaner than I found it. I also did not stay in there for hours, or do anything disagreeable whatsoever.
Well, this all happened years ago now, and I haven't set foot in the place since, and I make sure I tell anyone who wants to know, how they treat loyal customers at Annie's Pizza. Which is also why I'm telling you now.
Update: Went there again after years of swearing I wouldn't. It seems the problems were caused by a troublesome employee who is no longer there. Much better experience this time.
Update #2 (August, 2019) I'm bumping up my rating to four stars. After eating here a few times in the last few months, it seems that Annies has gone back to using a better quality cheese for their pizzas. I'll have to check with the staff to be sure, but for a long time they were using a cheese that was not so good. I'm happy to say their pizza is tasting...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy son and I order Annie's OFTEN. This is the last time I will order from Annie's. I had told the woman on the phone before I ordered that the last pizza I had delivered from Annie's was unnacceptable. It had been overcooked and was cold when it got here. Plus the driver forgot my 2 liter. But I let her know that I was a regular customer and I wasnt complaining, I just wanted a good pie this time. She had the attitude that said without saying, "Dude, I could care less." My pizza arrives 2 houts later, (just now in real time), and it's freezing cold AGAIN. I always tip the driver at least $4 and whatever change. When I opened the door, The driver immediately started with, "Sorry its late, another driver shouldve taken it. it's been sitting there forever." Now after a conversation with the person on the phone about a 'dead' pizza, you would think that you wouldn't send another 'dead' pizza consecutively to the same house. So of course I called the store, got an answer that sounded close to "Annies Pizza" before IMMEDIATELY being put on hold so I just hung up and said forget it. This is a bummer because I really like Annie's and the price is right but from now on I WILL pay the extra money to order Bearno's instead and I will never order from Annie's again. I am also copying this review and leaving it on Google reviews, Yelp!, and ANY OTHER RESTURAUNT REVIEWING WEBSITE I can find. I am so disappointed. When you get a good pie, it's great but my experiences have been horrible more times than good. 2 GIANT...
