Jalisco El Toque Chingon Mexican Seafood & Grill — Restaurant in Louisville

Do not trust this place with any form of delivery or online ordering. I have dined in several times, food is decent other than no heat during the winter, which I looked past. I’ve tried delivery straight through their website twice. First time it was canceled after an hour, it was fine I figured something happened. The second time my driver was at the restaurant for 30 minutes waiting on the order, shortly after I received another message stating it was canceled. I called the restaurant thinking maybe the driver canceled since it was taking a while. Instead I was greeting on the phone very rudely and as if they were answering their personal phone. The woman goes on to say that the driver showed up, waited and then canceled the order because they didn’t receive it on their “tablet”. A restaurant has to confirm an order before notifying DoorDash, especially before a driver shows up to pick up an order. To go on the lady states that she never received an order for my name on their tablet. She never asked for my name. She never asked what I ordered. Proceeds to tell me that I can place another order and then she’ll make it for me. Now why would I do that if I already have the receipt from the restaurant proving I already paid...

My sister's family had tried the food via takeout and enjoyed it so she suggested we take our families here for dinner together on a Saturday night. There were only two ladies working tables, one was taking orders and the other was bringing food to the tables. Not very many people in there for a Saturday night. It took them about 30 minutes to take our order for drinks. After about another 30 minutes or so, we got to order food and it came out about 30 minutes later. My hubby & I ordered the steak & shrimp fajitas for two. The portion was not comparable to places like El Nopal, much smaller. We were not asked if we wanted any refills, if our food was good, or if we needed anything else. We finished up and paid with a debit card, leaving a cash tip on the table. I checked my transactions the next day and noticed that a $20 tip was added to our charges even though my husband placed a $0 for tip on the slip. He was enraged and went up to the restaurant. This is honestly the best Mexican food In Louisville. This place definitely has a new customer. I order Chicken Fajita Nachos with two pollo tacos. The nachos were superb and so very well seasoned. That chicken was phenomenal. The tacos were especially amazing though due to the fact that a lot of Mexican restaurants for whatever reason have a hard time seasoning the chicken that comes in the taco. It’s as if they expect you to get amazing flavor from the onions, cilantro, and salsa verde only. This place knocked it out of the park as far as the tacos go. HANDS DOWN THE BEST AUTHENTIC MEXICAN CHICKEN TACOS IN LOUISVILLE.

Only issue with my order was the fact that they are very light handed when it comes to the amount of salsa, chips, and salsa verde they provide. It was all barely even half way filled.
